[Just so you know, this story is almost 400 pages long]

Turned out Ryu was a gutsy player, he always raised and took risks throughout the game, it was hard to tell if he was bluffing or not. And Gen took every opportunity to cheat, but Kohaku would stop him everytime. Once he used a beetle to try and track some sugar he wanted to sprinkle on one of the cards, and you kept the beetle. You put it beside you on the table and lightly patted his cute beetle shell.
But turned out it was all just a ruse to draw everyone's attention while Ryu could swap some cards without no one noticing.

"Hahaha! I raise! I'm all-in!" he exclaimed with a huge smile, making the audience gasp.
'I figured he took all four aces,' you glanced at Senku. 'the only way for him to win is with a straight flush.'
You noticed he was sweating, like he was uncomfortable. It shocked you a bit, was he giving up?
'No way!'

He then whispered something to Kohaku. An evil looking smirk formed on his face.
"I guess I'm also all-in then!" he pushed his chips on the center of the table.
"What?!" the crowd expressed their shock. "Why?!"
"And we'll be replacing three cards." Kohaku said, quickly taking cards off the deck.
It was too fast for you to see. But knowing Senku, you assumed he told Kohaku to grab the cards he actually wanted. But how did he know where they were?

Ryu and Senku stared at each-other for a moment.
"Haha~! What fun!" Ryusui finally exclaimed. "This will decide the whole game! We're both all-in!"
"That's poker baby!" you said. "Show your hands!"
"Four of a kind!" he showed his four aces plus a king.
Senku let his cards fall onto the table for everyone to see and calmly said.
"Royal straight flush."

As everybody cheered, you covered your face. Nobody cared that his hand meant that there are five aces.
"Are you okay (Y/n)?" Ukyo asked.
"That was just...such a cool move." you quietly said.
'Not gonna lie, that turned me on a bit.' you thought as your face became redder.

Meanwhile, Senku was savoring his victory.
"Your chips are mine! And so is the game!"
"H-how?!" Gen asked, frantically looking through the deck. "I really can't tell how you marked them!"
"Yeah 'cause my scientific marking is colorless and invisible." he showed his sleeve. "Urushiol, soaked up from some lacquer that we've conveniently got lying around. From the start I'd been searching for these key cards and marking their edge with the urushiol.
'Wait. Lacquer?! Then-' you looked at him and suddenly turned away. "Oh god nevermind!!!" you exclaimed as you saw his inhumanly puffy face.
Now it made sense why he looked uncomfortable, his allergy was acting up like crazy.
"The winner is Senku!" you quickly said.

"NO~!!!" Yo was not happy about that. "This loss cost me practically every last drago I had! Dammit!"
Right, before the game started, a huge amount of betting was happening.
"But next time! That's when I'll win it all back!" he said. "C'mon guys! Another round sounds great right!"
"No." Kohaku frowned.
"Sure! Great!" Ryusui snapped his fingers.
As the other were wondering what he meant, he turned towards you with a hand on his chest.
"(Y/n), my dear." he said with a soft smile. "Would you do me the honor to be the main dealer of my casino which will take place on the deck in the near future."
Your face lit up.
"Of course! Sounds aweso-!"
"I'm afraid that won't be possible." Tsukasa said, placing a hand on your shoulder. "You see, the poker game took some time away from (Y/n)'s training. So we'll have to work extra hard to compensate for the lost time." he said with a calm smile.
You gulped, a bit scared.

Tsukasa was training you to have better reflexes, he'd try to punch you, kick you (without putting a lot of strength of course) and you'd have to deflect or block his attacks. He started off slow but gradually went faster. And everytime you'd get hit, you'd start all over.

"Eleven." he said when he touched your cheek.
"Fuck!"
"Frustrated?" he said as he started going slow again.
"Yes!" you said, louder than you wanted. "And honestly, having you keeping count doesn't really help."
"I'm sorry, but it's important."
"Oh sure!"
You glared at him, but it was in this short moment of distraction that he kicked you in the back of the knee, making you fall.

"Dammit! That's not fair, you caught me off guard!" you looked at him.
"In a real fight, you're bound to be caught off guard."
You groaned and hit the ground.
"It's too hard!"
"Of course it's hard. Did you expect any less?"
"No but...!" you looked away, not really knowing what to say, it just ticked you off.
"I think I understand." he knelt down in front of you. "You've never trained before am I wrong?"
"I...practiced card shuffle."
"That's different." he said. "You're a music prodigy, you've never had to practice in that field. Something like sport will acquire a long period of hard training from you."

Your eyes widen slightly. What he said reminded you of something Hyouga said: how a genius could never amount to years and years of hard work.
Now you knew how his words could apply to you.
A moment of silence passed. You sat up.
"Tsukasa," you looked up at him. "I...I wanna learn. I don't want this to be just an excuse for me to be here. Even when we get back to the Kingdom of Science, I still want to train with you."
Tsukasa was a bit taken aback. Their was a certain determination in your eyes, a new kind. It made him smile.
"Hearing you say that makes me glad."
You stood up.
"I'll try not to complain anymore." you said, getting into position again.
"Very well. Let's continue."

That night, the Perseus' Casino opened. And though you couldn't join the fun, Tsukasa and you did came down there to inaugurate the Bar François. Plus he was asked to serve as security for the casino. You really decided to go when you heard François would make a personalized cocktail to each and everyone, and you both were pretty excited to see what you'd have.
Tsukasa had something called 'Grenadine & Tonic', made from tonic water and grenadine syrup. The twist was that the syrup had a scientific reaction to black light: when shone on it, it turned from red to a glowing blue.

"What do I have?!" you leaned over the counter in excitement.
"Here, to Lady (Y/n):" they slide a glass of brown liquid towards you, with something at the bottom. "Hot cocoa and curry."
"Curry?!" you exclaimed, shocked. "Why would anyone put spice in chocolate?!"
"You might be surprise if you mix these two together." they smiled.
You frowned, not convinced, but did what they said. You hesitated before taking a sip.
"Mmh!" you covered your mouth and looked at them with big eyes. "What?! It's so good!"
"Spices are often used to pair with chocolate. They emphasize the flavor and blend perfectly with each-other." they explained. "I call this one: the Chocolate Bomb."

"That's a pretty aggressive name..."
"Well, you can be aggressive (Y/n)-chan." Gen smiled, sitting beside you.
"What~? No way!"
"Yes way."
"Famous example:" Kohaku said, joining the conversation. "you swore up a storm when we tried to make iron for the first time!"
"Sounds like something she'd do!" he giggled.
"What~? Come on!" you waved your hand. "That was two years ago! And it was in the heat of the moment, that's not me!"
"Nah, it is." he pointed at you. "And you know it is! You're doing that thing when your voice goes really high!"
"What~?" you wheezed and the three of you laughed.

As the night continued, Gen noticed how you'd look around. He smiled.
"Looking for Senku-chan?"
"Not really." you looked back at him. "I was just thinking how I really wanted to join a poker game, everyone looks like they're having fun."
Lie. But Gen knew it was the kind that even you didn't know you were lying. You were fooling yourself.

"Speaking of him, how are you guys doing?" he asked, leaning a bit closer. "You know...After your first lover's quarrel."
You took a sip of your drink and inhaled.
"We're good." you said as you exhaled.
"Are you though?" he raised an eyebrow, taking a sip of his own drink.
"Well you don't see us screaming at each-other."
"We don't see you talk at all!" he laughed.
"Yeah, 'cause we're both very busy." you shrugged.
"So you're both cool."
You nodded and drank. He looked behind you as if he noticed something.
"Oh hi Senku-chan~!" he waved.
You flinched and almost chocked on your drink. You didn't dare to turn around.
"Oh, nevermind." he leaned back with a smirk. "That's not him."
"You little shit!" you smacked his arm as he cackled.

"In all seriousness," he rested his cheek on the palm of his hand, leaning on his elbow which was resting on the counter. "you can't ignore each-other forever. You'll have to talk at some point."
You looked down, sighing.
"I just...need a bit of space first." you quietly said. "Because I will be busy with my new training and I wanna focus on it for the time being. At least until I get a bit accustomed to it."
"You seem to take this seriously."
"I do yeah. It's not just an excuse, I do wanna learn how to protect myself. I don't wanna get kidnapped again!" you laughed.
"Well, good for you." he paused. "And hopefully it won't turn into another Tsukasa situation."
"Oh please don't drag him into this. He has nothing to do with this."

Gen didn't say anything, but he knew. And he knew that you knew!
This whole thing was a ticking bomb, and no one knew what will happen when it'll explode.
