Same Day at Night

Manik rang the door bell and Nandini opened the door. He smiled at her which she returned and walked inside.

She took his office bag and kept it on the couch while Manik settled there. Nandini went to the kitchen to get water for him while he removed his shoes and socks while sitting there only.

As she came out holding the glass he gestured her towards his hands.

Manik: Pila doh!

She nodded and brought the glass near his mouth and made him drink water.

As he was done she kept the glass at the table and wiped the corner of his mouth with her hand.

Nandini: Manik, Aap dinner mei kya khayoge?

Manik: I will eat anything you will make..so no problem.

Nandini: Okay. Aap fresh hojao mai dinner ready Karti hu

He nodded and stood up. He picked up his shoes and socks to keep them on their specific places i.e. shoe rack and laundry.

After having Dinner Manik and Nandini moved to their room and freshened up and layed down on the bed to sleep.

Manik: Nandini

Nandini: Ji

Manik: I am sorry, again

Nandini sighed seeing him so guilty and that too when both of them were wrong.

Nandini: Manik, I told you na. It was not only your mistake. We both were at fault.

Manik: but still I shouldn't have shouted at you. I was just stressed.

She pressed his hand and he sighed.

Manik: Did you call at home? How's everyone there?

Nandini: All are fine but missing us.

Manik: (under her breathe) Missing us! I doubt!

She giggled and he glared at her.

Nandini: Manik, Tomorrow we will go for shopping.

Manik: okay

Nandini: Manik, Hum na park bhi jayege!

Seeing her excited face he chuckled and pecked her making her blush.

Manik: (teasing) Tum kaho toh saari duniya gumadu!

Nandini: Manik!

He laughed and she hide her face in his chest. Laughing he started carressing her hairs and she smiled.

Nandini: Manik, Why didn't you let me meet Abhishek?

She felt him going stiff and sighed as she remembered what happened at office.

They were done with their lunch and Nandini wanted to stay but Manik forcefully sent her home saying he is expecting clients. Nandini knew he was talking about Abhishek but didn't react than.

However, she came out of her thoughts and looked up to see him sleeping.

Nandini: So gaye? (pouts) Itni jaldi?

She snuggled more in him and slept while as soon as she did, Manik opened his eyes.

Manik: (to himself) Sorry Nandini! I don't even want Abhishek's shadow to fall on you! It is better if you stay away from him. He is such a douchebag!

He kissed her forehead and smiled seeing her sleeping figure. She looked so cute just like a baby.

Sighing in peace, he also closed his eyes and drifted to sleep!
