Okay, Before starting this chapter, I would take a minute of you guys.

First, Thankyou to each and everyone of you who gave so much love to Arrange Marriage, to Manik, to Nandini, and to me. This book will be always special for me, more than any other book of mine.

Though the main reason of not updating this chapter earlier was my writer's block, but along with it, it was also the fact that this is going to be the last chapter of Arrange Marriage.

Thankyou so much guys for sticking to Arrange Marriage from day one. A lot of people joined in the mid and made it more and more special for me.

Since this is the last chapter, do shower your love on the chapter.

And inline comments are as always love😁❤️

Also, A lot of people didn't get what Manik said in the end in last chapter. Guys, he just meant that Nandini didn't fight for herself in the bar. She silently did as the blackmailers asked her.

Enjoy Reading guys!

_____

"Because I wanted to see what damage my wife has caused them."

Manik's words lingered in her mind for a moment. Nandini knew her husband was a sharp observer. He guessed things people wouldn't even bother to ponder over. But this time, she really didn't see this coming.

She gulped and looked at her fingers, twisting them again and again as she thought of an appropriate answer. Her mind wandered in different directions but she could find nothing. She didn't realize she was falling in a daze until Manik tugged at her hand taking her attention.

She looked up, with a frown on her face and came across his soft expressions.

Manik: Baby, I am talking.

He said, gently, in a slow and soft tone and she muttered a small sorry before looking down at her hands again.

They felt empty and she didn't like the void between her fingers. The frown which had left a moment ago reappeared on her face again but it didn't remain for long as she saw Manik's fingers slipping into hers. He intertwined their hands and kissed the back of her palm softly.

Nandini: Manik.

She whimpered softly as if it was physically hurting her and she wanted him to cure it. Manik didn't have to be told twice to know what was happening to her or whatever she was going through.

He rubbed his finger on her knuckles, drawing small circles there to draw her attention.

Manik: I am here. It is okay. We aren't talking about it if you aren't comfortable baby. It is fine.

Until now, Manik felt she was deliberately not talking about this one particular topic. He thought she didn't trust him enough but now, seeing her sitting all lost there, he realized she herself had forgotten about this.

He had the perfect plan to get her talk. He knew her weak points, knew when and where to keep his hands on her to let the words flow but seeing her condition, he wasn't sure if it was the right away. Forcing her to talk was the last thing on his mind. She would tell him on her own when she had to and he was ready to wait for her to open up even if his patience was on edge.

He gently slide her hair behind her ear and she ducked down her head more making him smile.

Manik: I thought someone said only she has the right to stare at me.

He teased making her pout.

Nandini: Haan toh, it is only my right.

Manik: Of course it is but now you aren't making use of your right properly, isn't that wrong?
