Chapter 41

Next Day, Malhotra Mansion, Dining Table

Manik came down taking fast steps and settled on the chair. Others frowned seeing him coming alone as he always come with Nandini. However, they didn't say anything seeing his hard expression.

After a minute, Nandini came down all ready. She kept her coat and bag on the couch and moved to the dining table.

She wished everyone and started serving. Till now they understood that Manik and Nandini had a fight.

The morning was good until they started having a fight on a silly topic. Nandini wanted to go hospital by herself but Manik wanted to drop her.

It was normal until Manik shouted at her asking her to shut up. Though he regretted instantly but she her patience was already broken by than. In anger she didn't arranged his clothes and he had to do it himself.

However, Nandini served Cabir and than moved to Manik while Niyonika served Raj and Mukti.

She picked up two paranthas and was about to keep it in Manik's plate but he stopped her. He stared at her and she stared back.

Manik: I will take one.

Without saying anything Nandini kept two in his plate.

Manik: (stern) I said I will take one.

Nandini: Alright

Saying this she took one more and kept it in his plate.

Manik: Nandini!

He stopped as she looked up and glared at him. Silently he started eating and seeing this others controlled their laugh. Manik glared at them and they maintained normal face.

While eating Manik's eyes fell on her. She was eating with a frown on her face. Unknowingly his anger melted seeing her face. He chuckled inwardly and than maintained the stern expressions.

Manik: Nandini, butter!

She passed him the butter and he took it. After few seconds he again looked up

Manik: Nandini, Water

Others were looking at them and controlling their smiles while Nandini was by now fuming in anger. However she filled the glass and passed him water.

After few minutes he again was about to say something but stopped as he saw her banging the spoon on the table.

Niyonika: Kya hua, Nandini?

Nandini: Nothing Maa. I am getting late and I am done

Saying this she stood up leaving her half plate and Manik frowned.

Manik: Finish your food.

Nandini: I said I am done!

Manik: (sternly) Sit back and finish it.

Nandini looked at Niyonika for help who nodded in no frantically while pointing at Manik's angry face. She looked at Raj who raised his hands saying he can't fight with Manik.

Sighing she took the parantha, rolled it and walked to the couch making Manik sigh in disbelief.

Manik: (shouting) You are not going alone! I am dropping you today!

He heard her whining sound and chuckled. Suddenly he realized they were not alone. Being slight embarrassed he started eating silently. He was a family guy but he felt his and his wife's matters must be kept in their room only. He was not someone who would romance or tease her in public.

After fifteen minutes he came out and saw her standing near his car. Chuckling he walked to her.

Manik: Why are you so stubborn?
