"Gonk!" Gonk said as the rays sprung up again. Gonk made it one more space before being stopped by the lights, while Obi-Wan had sprinted to the last cell.
The Sith and Qui-Gon were facing one and another in the end room, their lightsabers clashing. Obi-Wan was still pacing, unable to do anything like Gonk. They watched the fight but Gonk didn't enjoy doing so.
Suddenly Darth Maul caught Qui-Gon off guard. Maul's lightsaber hilt slammed into Qui-Gon's chin. Gonk looked away, not wanting to see what happened next.
"No!" Obi-Wan screamed.
Gonk turned to find Qui-Gon slumped on the floor, unmoving. "Gonk," Gonk said sadly.
Then the world starting moving again. The ray gates vanished. Obi-Wan launched himself at the Sith Lord.
"Gonk!" Gonk hurried forward as the rays vanished, concentrating as much as Gonk could. Suddenly Gonk felt the Force and Gonk used it to make his little legs work overtime. Force speeding, Gonk managed to get Gonk's self in the last segment before the rays came on again.
Darth Maul had somehow pushed Obi-Wan down a pit. The padawan hung to the side as Maul moved to kick his lightsaber over the side, going for the kill.
The rays vanished and Gonk hurried into the room, no longer afraid. Gonk had the Force. Gonk could do anything.
Before Obi-Wan's lightsaber tumbled over the edge, Gonk used the Force to drag it towards him. The saber hit the ground at Gonk's feet and Gonk looked down at it, wondering how Gonk was supposed to hold a weapon without hands.
Gonk shook as Gonk raised the lightsaber with the Force, the blade shooting from the hilt.
When Gonk looked back up, Gonk's borrowed weapon at the ready, Darth Maul was standing over him. Gonk wondered if the Sith had droids on their side or if Maul was surprised Gonk had the Force. His red and black face was hard to read.
"Gonk," Gonk declared before speeding forward.
The blades clashed and Gonk skipped aside, avoiding the deadly red saber. Gonk could hear Obi-Wan gasping as he hung in the pit and Gonk wondered if he would like his lightsaber back.
While Gonk held off Darth Maul, too short for Maul to hit with any accuracy, Obi-Wan pulled Qui-Gon's lightsaber towards him. Gonk saw the weapon fly across the floor and realized what Gonk had to do.
Gonk leaned forward and used the Force to push the Sith back. Frowning, Maul caught himself at the edge of the pit.
"Gonk," Gonk said proudly. Gonk hoped Darth Maul had a bad feeling about this.
