Upsidedown, Gonk found it rather hard to pay attention to what happened next.
The Reek charged at Anakin, its huge feet pounding against the ground and stirring sand-like dust from the ground. Jumping into the air, Anakin twirled and landed on the creature's back, dragging his chain around his neck. The Reek growled and pulled away.
Anakin's chain snapped and he smiled at Obi-Wan for a brief second before he was back to struggling with the Reek. The creature stormed to the other end of the arena, taking Anakin and any chance of him helping Gonk away with it.
"Gonk," Gonk said in defeat. Gonk tried to pull upon the Force for help, but Gonk was having trouble concentrating when Gonk's friends were in so much trouble.
Swinging back and forth, Gonk looked to Padmé. She had fought the Nexu off and had freed herself from the chains keeping her attached to the pillar. When she glanced down to check on the cat-like beast, she caught sight of Gonk.
"It's alright," she called, "we'll help you."
"Gonk," Gonk said in thanks. Gonk really wanted to save Gonk's self. All of Gonk's friends were doing well and Gonk didn't want to be the one everyone had to save all the time.
Obi-Wan appeared, his chains also cut. "Don't worry my friend," he said as he used a stolen spear to free Gonk. "I won't tell Qui-Gon a thing."
"Gonk," Gonk said. The chains around Gonk's little feet were cut and Gonk fell onto the ground on Gonk's head. Obi-Wan moved to help him, but the horrible Orray attacked before the Jedi could free Gonk.
Gonk's feet fought the air, thrashing back and forth as Gonk struggled to set Gonk's self upright. Gonk stopped to watch Anakin help Padmé down from the pillar. Seeing them both alright allowed Gonk to relax and concentrate.
Using the Force, Gonk lifted Gonk's self into the air and turned around. As soon as Gonk's feet were back on the ground, Gonk zoomed to Obi-Wan's side and helped him defeat the Orray using a spear Gonk picked up with the Force on the way.
"Good to see you back on your feet," Obi-Wan said as they joined Padmé and Anakin on the Reek's back. The arena had gone somewhat still and Gonk stared at the watching crowd, wondering what they would have to face next.
Suddenly there were flashed of light around the arena as hidden Jedi ignited their lightsabers. Gonk searched the crowd for Gonk's master and nudged Obi-Wan to let him know Qui-Gon had come to help them.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Anakin said.
Just as he had spoken, thousands of droids started to pour into the arena. Some were the basic battle droids Gonk had faced before while others were larger with one hand extended out in front of their bulky bodies.
"Super battle droids," Obi-Wan mused. "Not good."
