The ship landed on a platform fixed to the side of a steep cliff. Gonk, Obi-Wan, and Anakin jumped out, their Jedi robes blowing behind them as they landed. At once their shuttle left them, returning to the battle.
"Gonk," Gonk said.
"There's no need to have a bad feeling about this," Anakin said. His lightsaber burned bright as he activated it, Obi-Wan quickly copying him.
Gonk wasn't too sure about his comment, but Gonk trusted Gonk's friends. Gonk stole a glance back the dry landscape below them to search for Qui-Gon, then followed Obi-Wan and his padawan inside.
They traced the sound of Count Dooku's voice to a large chamber. There was a ship ready to launch, a few thick pillars, and some lights attached to the walls here and there. Gonk shuffled into the room behind Gonk's friends, inspecting their environment.
Qui-Gon had taught Gonk to always be aware of Gonk's surroundings. Gonk thought it best to recall all the helpful hints Qui-Gon had told Gonk at this time - Count Dooku would not be easy to capture.
"Intruders!" the droid captain of Count Dooku's ship said. Obi-Wan and Anakin stopped short, their weapons raised, and Gonk bumped into Anakin's legs in surprise as Count Dooku turned to face them.
"Leave them to me," Dooku said. He looked to be smiling, but Gonk didn't see a reason for Dooku to be happy. He had just been discovered as an enemy of the Republic and three Jedi were there stop him from getting away!
If Gonk where him, Gonk would have been hopping on his ship and getting a long way away.
"We move in together," Obi-Wan said, glancing at Anakin. "You on the left-"
Anakin lunged forward. "I'm taking him now!" he yelled.
"Anakin, no!"
"Gonk!" Gonk called in warning.
Rushing across the floor to Count Dooku, Anakin readied his weapon to strike. Dooku barely batted an eyelid and he raised his hand, lifting Anakin up into the air. As Anakin was thrown into one of the walls, Obi-Wan and Gonk stepped forward.
"Always on the move," Obi-Wan sighed, looking down at Anakin's semi-unconscious body.
The padawan groaned and Gonk was pleased to know Gonk's close friend was still alive, even although he wasn't moving much.
"My powers are far beyond yours," Count Dooku said as he stepped closer. "Back down, before you get yourself killed."
Gonk glanced at Obi-Wan. "Gonk," Gonk said, doing the opposite of what Dooku told them to do and raising Gonk's small lightsaber again.
"Oh," Obi-Wan smiled, "I don't think so."
