Dare gone wrong

It was supposed to be a normal Avengers game night. However it went too far once Steve walked out the room to get a drink. Tony was sitting down next to his teammates and it was his turn.

"Truth or dare." Clint smirked.

Tony raised his eye brow. "What do you mistake me as? A coward? Bring on the dare. I'm the master at them."

"Oh yeah." Clint smiled. "Fine. Go break up with Steve."

Tony's face dropped as he stared at Clint. "What?!"

"You heard my dare Mr. Dare Master." Clint replied. "Go break up with Steve."

Tony thought and stood up. "Fine I will." Tony walked off and the team stared at him leave to find Steve.

"Clint why-"

"Pfft Tony won't do it." Clint smirked.

Tony stared at Steve as he drank a glass of water and he carefully took a deep breath. Dare master come on Tony, Tony thought. He walked into the kitchen and Steve gave a warm smile.

"Hey Tony-"

"Steve we need to break up." Tony stared at him. "We are done."

Steve went wide eyed and stared at Tony. "You are joking right?!"

"Nope."

Steve stared at him and nodded his head. "Fine." He put his cup in the sink and walked out the kitchen. Tony ran to stop him and Steve looked down confused.

"I'm kidding Steve." Tony smiled. "It was a dare." Steve just stared at him and pushed back his hands. Tony went wide eyed as the sudden movements not expecting this outcome. "Steve?"

"Go away Tony." Steve said walking towards his room. Tony now realized Steve was pissed and he chased after him. Steve turned around and closed his door, but Tony put his foot through.

"Steve I said I was kidding-"

"Tony. That wasn't funny you scared me. Go away." Steve glared. "Breaking up with someone isn't a laughing matter."

Steve gently pushed Tony back and he slammed the door. Tony was shocked and didn't know what to say or even do as he stared at the door.

"Tony?" Natasha asked and she went up to him as he stared at her with a red face. "What's wrong?"

"I think Steve hates me..." Tony replied.

"You did the dare?!" Natasha gasped. He nodded and she shook her head. "Idiot of course he is mad now! Tony why couldn't you just loose for once in your life?!" Tony frowned and walked off. "Where are you going."

"To my lab."

"Tony no-"

"Stop Nat Im not a child."

Natasha groaned and let him walk off. Tony locked his lab and began to work on his armor.

The next day

Tony walked out to grab more coffee and that's when he went face to face with Steve. They stared and suddenly Steve walked off.

"Steve-" He just kept walking, causing Tony to run towards him. "Steve!" 

"What."

Tony was taken aback by the bitter tone and he frowned. "Steve I said I was sorry! Please what else can I do?"

"Tony leave me alone. You don't understand how scared I got. The world barley found out about us dating, me barley finding out I like men. You knew how scared I was yet you assured me you would be there. What you did scared me. I love you and yet you hurt me. So go away." Steve growled and he walked off towards the gym.

Tony groaned and hit his head. "Stupid Stark so stupid!"

"Hey Tony..." Bruce said staring at his science friend. "You okay?"

"I'm calling myself stupid of course I'm okay." Tony faked a smile.

"Stop Tony." Bruce sighed. "Go talk to him."

"He just will ignore me!" Tony frowned. "No use."

"Come on." Bruce replied trying to drag his friend towards Steve. Tony pulled away and continued walking.

"I said I'm fine Bruce." Tony replied walking inside the kitchen. Bruce shook his head and walked off towards his own lab. Tony grabbed coffee and went back into his hide out to work more. His mind was racing as he thought of Steve and how stupid his actions where.

"I'm so fucking dumb!" Tony growled and he yelled out as he placed his hand on the hot metal that was heating up. "Fuck."

He put his hand in the water and looked down at the time. Two in the morning. He sighed and decided to head back for the night. "Friday lock up for me darling."

Yes sir

He opened up the door and collided into Steve who looked at him the his hand. "Oh my god Tony what did you do?!" He grabbed his really burnt hand and sighed. "Come on."

Tony stood there for a second until he decided to follow Steve as he walked towards the medical kit in the kitchen. Steve quietly began to help heal Tony's hand and all Tony could do was watch as he worked.

"There." Steve replied closing the kit. Tony sighed and held out his hand to Steve's.

"Steve." Tony whispered. Steve didn't walk off he just stopped. "Please Steve... I'm really sorry."

Steve looked at Tony and he went wide eyed as Tony broke down into tears. "I love you Steve and never meant to hurt you."

Steve sighed holding in his tears and he looked at Tony. He couldn't take it and he pulled him close. "I love you too Tony..." Tony sighed into Steve warmth and the two gently hugged one another. "I forgive you." Tony smiled at the three words and held him tighter.
