YOONGI was usually really good at holding in his anger. he had a poker face that made him hard to read, maybe even difficult to approach.
but this time, he shut his eyes in annoyance every time the phone rang in the police department. it rang every few seconds with avid fans seeking the attention of their favorite oppas or trolls itching to wreak choas in the police station.
the young star had thought the police would have come up with a more effective system in filtering out the real calls from the fake but there was no such thing. he wouldn't hold a grudge, though. he knew this was out of everyone's hands and all he needed to do was be patient and trust the process.
jin, who had tried telling jokes to calm the mood, and jhope were beside him, leaning against the waiting room's wall.
they were accompanied by their staff who were equally as annoyed and worried but didn't show it. they had trouble getting them into the department with the fans from this city were waiting outside the precinct. jones had felt it was better to talk where he worked to maintain a stable mind and be able to communicate with his team instead of being holed up in the hotel.
the staff would also help to translate the questions that the detective had prepared for them. it was important for them to be there, for though their conversation would be informal and unofficial, bts should be allowed not to answer a question deemed inappropriate or unreasonable.
the members have gone through this interrogation three times already since the maknae's disappearance, though jones did not want a detail about him or his fans left out.
manager kim was convinced detectives jones had run out of ideas.
speaking of the man, detective jones stepped out from the conference room with the rest of the members and called for hoseok, yoongi, and jin.
one by one the members and staff filed in into the small conference room and filled up as many seats as they can.
hoseok's heart was thumping fast as he was nervous once again. he felt he would accidentally say something wrong or controversial that would effect the investigation. but he had nothing wrong or controversial to say.
jin leaned over to hoseok on his right and whispered, "hey stop being such a scaredy cat. you got this, eh?"
hoseok nervously chuckled to which a staff gave him a look for. he looked away and bit his lip.
"good morning," detective jones said giving them a small smile.
"good morning," the three replied.
"so i know we've been through this too many times. I just want to be sure. so yoongi, is it? I know your one of the closets to jeongguk. are you absolutely positive he wasn't talking to anyone secretly that could be involved in his disappearance?"
at this yoongi barely needed a translator since he recognized the question. he felt the urge to sigh.
"didn't you check his phone?" he asked in korean, looking up at the man.
it was actually something all the member protested against. they felt jeongguk deserved his privacy, especially how famous he was. there were people here namjoon heard speculating against selling it.
but sadly it was necessary in the investigation.
the translator said his words exactly.
detective jones chuckled, "yes and our search revealed nothing suspicious, but people have creative ways of hiding things."
