both hoseok and jin thought they were the most unluckiest people in the world.
how can one run away from a press conference and a hotel with someone who is just as a scaredy cat as you?
both boys were shaking in their seats as jin drove away from the airport parking lot. every single car or person they passed gave them the creeps. they didn't have time to put on their usually undercover outfits which was just a face mask, shades and a cap (you'd think they'd be more discreet). they were completely exposed and the boys knew by now that the world probably was aware that they weren't where they were supposed to be anymore.
the constant pinging of text messages and notifications from their phone wasn't helping either. different artists of boy bands and girl groups, their parents, and nosy reporters who snagged their numbers in their contact list were texting them, worried about them. they ignored the messages not wanting to be deterred. as previously stated they were scaredy cats and one text from their parents or their manager telling them to come back to the hotel or back to korea where it's presumably safe might influence them into chickening out and going back home.
but they also were aware that that was just not an option. not when the bruised security guard was still at the hotel.
"jin stop moving your knee," hoseok said, breaking the tensioned silence, whilst biting his lip. "it's making me nervous."
"you stop biting your lip, it's making me nervous," jin shot back. but he tried his best to stop moving so much. "namjoon said that our clue is a book and we should be going to the same state as him and possibly the same city. we don't have much info on this book or the author or anything—"
"—so we should probably stay in not crowded places? and not go looking in actual neighborhoods? especially since who knows who might be following the same clues we are," jhope finished.
"exactly...."

ARMYS
"she literally wants us to go back to find that stupid book when all of the books are gone! and i'm sure that that army who probably had nothing to do with jeongguk just got that book to do the same thing we're doing," an army named michelle said. the smell of chlorine was filling the nostrils of the other 5 army cramped inside the taxi cab headed back home to New Jersey.
aiden piped up, "that's because some people don't like to share, some people want to find jeongguk and get famous for it." he faked a cough, "uh-ugm kayla!"
all the armys groaned.
"where even is she anyways?" michelle asked. "i was getting dried off in the bathroom after the whole distraction."
flashback
after michelle had been pushed into the pool to distract security guards, kayla and her crew had went upstairs to the suites were they were met with even more guards. of course in kayla's mind, the most logical thing to do when all else had failed was to do what army does and that was be a fan...and dance to bts.
justine, under the pressure of everyone's eyes on her had her phone ready to play bts. she shuffled the playlist and the first song that came up was we are bulletproof pt.2.
"fitting" kayla remarked as she eyes the security guards surrounding them. "okay everyone positions."
army stumbled to form in their positions as the song began playing.
yes, it was true they were about to dance their way out of this one. and it worked...mainly because a couple of armies accidentally did the wrong move and kicked the wrong direction creating a domino effect of fallen army who fell on the guards. kayla escaped unfazed.
