Remadora after the war

I promise

* tonks POV

Is that teddy? No too tall. Merlin is that him? No wrong hair colour. Where on earth is he. Why would he run away like this? That isn't like teddy at all.

Tonks has checked everywhere. She had checked down by the little lake like Remus had asked her to and then she met up with Remus at honeydukes but there was nothing. Not a single trace of teddy anywhere. Except for one thing.

*Remus POV

What's that over there Remus thought to himself as he walked around the three broom sticks looking for teddy. He walked to wards the little object he saw and there Remus found Teddy's little stuffed wolf, moony on a chair at the table they sat at while at the three broom sticks.
That must be why he ran off like this: he must've been looking for moony.

" Dora! Dora! I've found something you'll never believe what I found!" Remus shouted as he half ran half jogged towards honey dukes where Dora had been waiting for him outside.

"What Remus what did you find?" Tonks Asked with panic in her voice " did you find him?" Tonks looked all around Remus. She didn't see teddy with him. Her heart sank

" no but I found something very important" Remus said as he showed her the little wolf that was in his hand.

"You don't think tha-" Tonks started

"-he ran off to try to look for moony?" Remus finished while tilting his head to the side and touching his neck. Tonks nodded

" oh Remus what day is it today"

"Full moon" Remus answered while looking drained

" ok we'd better find him before it gets dark then" Tonks said " should we ask people to help us look?"

"No! We are fully capable of finding our own child Dora"

"Ok I'm sorry i still think we should send a patronous to at least someone in the castle just to check and see if he went back home" Tonks said as she grabbed his hand

"Ok fine, but who should we send for? Minerva's probably too busy an-"

"How about a student? It's the weekend so they shouldn't be too busy right now." Tonks said quietly " how about Hermione or Ginny? They're trustworthy"

"Ok I'll send a patronous to Hermione" Remus said while looking very tired

Remus walked over to a quiet corner in hogsmede and cast his patronous he then told Hermione about what was going on and everything about teddy then he asked if she could look around the school quickly just to check if he was around there he also asked for her to respond as soon as she could, then he sent off the wolf to find her. Strangely both Tonks and Remus realized the wolf did not go toward Hogwarts but Behind them back into hogsmede.

" damn, she must be at hogsmede this weekend, she's not at school there's no way she'll find him" Remus said with a sigh as he sat down on a large rock

*Teddy's POV

"Heyyyyy that's dadas pawtonus" teddy said as a silver wolf came whizzing towards them. They had left Zonkos and were now going to the lake.

"You're right teddy" Hermione said "maybe this will help us find them

All three of them listened carefully to the patronous message that had been sent to Hermione. Hermione quickly sent one back telling them that her and Ginny had found teddy and that he was safe with them. She then told them that they were almost at the lake and they were heading there now. Then she sent off her little otter to find them.

*tonks and Remus POV

Remus sat on the big rock with his head in his hands. He was so worried about teddy and he was starting to lose hope. It also didn't help that tonight was full moon. Even though he did take wolfsbane he still had to go into the shrieking shack to sleep so he would be away from people just in case it didn't work. He could usually tell when it had worked. Tonks stood beside Remus rubbing his back gently

"Don't worry Remus we will find him" tonks said quietly "wait what's that Remus"

Remus looked up to see what she was talking about. What was that? Is that a patronus? Yes! It is a patronus! But what form does it take? It was getting closer to them.

"Dora look it's an otter! That's Hermiones patronus" Remus said as he slowly stood. As he stood the otter was now right in front of them so they listened:

"Good day professor, funny should ask about teddy because Ginny and I found him not to long ago wandering around hogsmede. He's safe and sound, well a little sad but I'm sure he'll cheer up when he sees you. Oh yes I forgot to mention that we are actually in hogsmede. We were just about to go to the lake to look for you two. Shall we meet you there?"

"He's safe Dora he's safe! Can you believe it? He's safe! Remus said as he grabbed he hand and started to drag her towards the lake

"I know dear I heard" tonks said as she was being pulled along the street.

When they arrived down by the little lake they looked all around them but they didn't see them anywhere. Where are they? Did someone fake hermiones patronus? Is this all a trap? Are we going to be ambushed? Many questions whizzed around in remus' head. He slowly started to draw his wand from inside his jacket but as he was doing that he heard a little voice.

*Teddy's POV
This is it time to see them. I feel bad for running off. What if they don't come find me? What if they abandon me? A tear rolled down his little cheek. But wait! Is that them?

*nobodys POV

"Dadaaaaaaaaa" teddy yelled as he ran towards Remus and jumped into his arms.

"Hi buddy we missed you we were so worried about you" Remus said as he wiped the tears off of Teddy's face and passed him to tonks.

"Hi teddy" tonks said as her hair changed bright purple

"Hi mama" teddy said shyly as he copied her and changed his hair to purple

"Promise you'll never run away like that?" Remus said as he grabbed him again

"I pwomise dada" teddy said seriously "I pwomise wont run away, I pwomise I won't leave you, I pwomise I won't forget moony any where, I pwomi- WAIT where's moony? I forgot him at the foamy drink place that's why I ran away" teddy said frantically as he struggled to get down from Remus' grasp. His hair turned silver

" don't worry teddy I found him" Remus said as he picked teddy back up and pulled moony out of his pocket

Teddy quickly grabbed moony out of remus' hands and held onto him for dear life. Remus put him down so they could go home. They thanked Hermione and Ginny for taking care of him and started waking home. When they got home remus bent down in front of teddy and asked again:

" do you really promise you won't leave without telling us again?"

Teddy nodded his head and replied
"I promise"
