Remadora after the war

Alone

Remus stared at the note in his hands for what felt like almost an hour. Had she really left him alone? And she took teddy with him? Why did he feel so sad and lonely? Why did she only write him a note instead of telling him? Did she hate him? Was she really going to comeback before Teddy's bedtime? Was she ever going to come back?

Then it suddenly dawned on him. Was this how Tonks had felt when he had left her while she had been pregnant to go hunt horcruxes with Harry, Hermione and Ron? Oh Merlin what had he done to her.  This was karma.

*tonks POV

Well we left. I'm not sure where we will go but we have to go somewhere.  I guess we could go down to hogsmede cause I'm not sure where else to go.

We start down to hogsmede. I grab teddy and start walking  away from Hogwarts. While we were walking teddy started screaming and crying and asking why we are leaving without Remus. Then he started telling me how worried he was for Remus cause he didn't know we were gone and where we were going. I told him to calm down and that I wrote a note for him and all that but he still wasn't convinced. He only calmed down after I told him that we could go to honey dukes and he could pick out a chocolate or some candy.

Once we got to honey dukes I put teddy down so he could choose what he wanted and because I didn't want to carry him anymore. He's getting bigger so he's a lot heavier. Usually when I got tired of carrying teddy I would pass him to Remus so he could carry in for a while, but Remus wasn't here to help so I guess it's all on me this time.

Teddy ran off for a minute while I was thinking about remus so now I have to go find him. Where did he go? I think I'll check by the chocolates cause that's usually what teddy likes. Oh there he is, thank goodness. Wait who's that holding him? Did teddy wander up to a stranger? What have I told him? Did I not teach him not to talk to strangers never the less let someone pick him up. But wait I don't think thats a stranger. Oh wait is that-?

Oh Merlin.

*remus POV

Well it's been a few hours since they left. I've jut been sitting at the kitchen table clutching the note in silence. I still have so many questions about everything. I really don't like sitting here in silence I feel all icky and cooped up. Perhaps I just need some erm some fresh air. I think I'll walk down to honey dukes since I'm all out of chocolate. I really need my chocolate right now more than ever.

I grab my old ragged coat, wand and shoes and I'm out the door. I start walking and I instantly feel better about everything. I mean I don't feel great but I do feel a bit better. I start getting closer to hogs meds and I can practically smell the chocolate, it was then that I realized I hadn't eaten since early last night. Merlin I was hungry. I arrive at honey dukes and I pull open the door, I step inside and head for the chocolate section. I just need to go quickly and grab my chocolate and then get out of here. As I'm walking over there I see a little boy running around. It reminds me of teddy, I'm slightly saddened by this but wait this boy has turquoise hair. TEDDY, it's teddy! He comes running over to me and I pick him up and spin him around. Even though it's only been a few hours I've missed him so much. Oh Merlin if Teddy's here dora must be here somewhere and close by. Oh no what will she say.

*tonks POV
Oh it's Remus. Great. I quickly run over to them and grab teddy and put him back in my arms.

"Hello Remus" I say in a very formal yet very awkward way

"Dora" he says while tipping is head a little bit

Great now what. I guess we should just walk home there's no point in trying to abandon Remus here.  I quickly tell Remus and teddy that we are going home and neither of them object. Together we begin our very silent walk home.
