Remadora after the war

Christmas

"Chrimas, chrimas, Chrimas, chrimas!!" Teddy yelled jumping on top of tonks and Remus on December 25th

"Morning teddy" tonks said sleepily as he hair slowly changed from a straw colour to its usual pink

"It's chrimas mama!!" He said still yelling

"It's also 4AM but I guess it's never to early to start Christmas" Remus murmured as he started to wake up too from their bouncing toddler

"Cmon cmon cmon we gotta go" he screamed trying desperately to pull them out of bed

" I'm pretty sure all of hogwarts knows that's its Christmas by now" Remus whispered to tonks as they walked out of their room and towards the living room

"Woahhhhh presentssss!!" Teddy yelled running circles around their small living room

"Teddy" Remus said once he grabbed teddy to stop him from doing laps "you need to calm down or we can't open them right now and then we'll have to go back to sleep and wait for next year to come around"

"Remus!" Tonks exclaimed hitting his arm "don't say that he's two"

"I know I know but he just wouldn't stop screaming like a mandrake"

"I sorry dada" teddy said finally quiet

"It's ok now let's go look at those presents!" He suggested as he scooped and teddy and they walked towards the tree together

"Can I open this one mama?" Teddy asked tonks as he grabbed one with blue wrapping paper and went to go sit on the couch between the two of them

"Sure all the blue ones are yours, ok?"

Teddy tore off all the wrapping paper as fast as he possibly could. Inside was the magic kit tonks had bought him.

"Woahhh! It's that thing I wanted and almost got but then I got all lost!" he exclaimed pulling all the extra paper off before standing up and running down the hall

"Wait where are you going teddy?" Tonks called after him

Teddy stopped dead in his tracks "to go play with it!" He yelled and then kept running towards his room

"But we still have more presents to open. Don't you want to get more presents?"

Teddy stopped again but instead of continuing to run he did a 180 and came running back

"No I want presents" he whined

After he sat back down tonks grabbed her present to Remus and he was shocked when he opened it because he really hadn't expected it at all. He decided to try it on and tonks said he looked perfect

Then teddy opened his present from Remus and immediately took notice of the streak of blue in it

"It's like my hair!" He pointed out and giggled

After that it was tonks' turn to open her present from Remus and she almost screamed when she opened the little velvet box

"Merlin Remus you shouldnt have this must have cost a fortune"

"Don't worry about the price dear, as long as you love it" he replied smiling calmly while giving her a kiss on the cheek

She quickly but carefully put it on

"You look gorgeous Dora"
"Thank you Remus"

Next tonks and Remus opened their presents from teddy at the same time and made the same kinda automatic surprise face and responses

"Wow teddy this is so generous of you thank you"

"Thank you so much for all the new chocolates"

"Can I have one now"

"Should we eat one together?"

Those kinds of things

After all the presents had been opened it was almost 9:00 so they decided it would be fun to take teddy to go play out in the snow for a bit since he had never really experienced snow before so they got him into his snow gear and took him out to the courtyard where the snow was about knee ankle deep.

Teddy made a snowman and snow angels and threw lots of snow at both tonks, Remus and he even managed to get a few students with the help of tonks and all her years of tricks of course. They were having so much fun they didnt even realize they had missed lunch and it was past four and almost time for the big annual Christmas morning feast so they quickly grabbed a soaking little teddy and got back up to his room and got teddy changed in to a little Christmas shirt and new pants since his other jeans had gotten soaked and full of snow then they both got ready and then they all left

Remus of course sat at the staff table so tonks took teddy with her to go sit at the hufflepuff table where she used to sit and of course since it was the huffluepuffs they were all so excited to see teddy and complimented him on his shirt and moony and his new wand he got and had decided to bring down with him

While teddy was doing show and tell tonks was left to her own thoughts. All the thoughts and memories of this room came flooding back. All the food fights she'd caused, all the goblets she'd knocked, all the times she fell while walking to her seat everyday, how she tripped while walking up to be sorted her first year. Everything like that came rushing back. Eventually though she was jolted out of her thoughts when Minerva daintily tapped her spoon against her goblet to start her speech

Once they had all finished eating tonks grabbed teddy to go find Ginny and hermionr since teddy hadn't given them their presents yet

"Hey girls, teddy has some presents for you come with me" she said after she finally found them

"We have some small things for him too! We'll grab them from the dormitory and then meet you at your place" hermione said

They arrived 5 minutes after teddy and tonks had and they exchanged presents. Hermione and Ginny both love their books from him and he received a hippogriff plus his and of course more chocolates.

After Remus got back up from the feast it was getting late but teddy wasn't tired so they decided to just sit by the fireplace and drink hot chocolate together

"Merry chrimas mama, merry chrimas dada"

"Merry Christmas teddy" they both replied

I'm feelin festive now
