Remadora after the war

The most wonderful time of the year 2

After tonks and teddy left Remus in the three broomsticks they went back to honeydukes so teddy could get his present for Remus which was of course chocolate because what else would he want. On his way to the chocolate display they passed by some other candies

"Hey I just bought you those" teddy exclaimed as he pointed at the shelf of Bertie botts and nougats

"Really?" Tonks asked as she took the mental note to act surprised when she opened her present from teddy

"Yep" teddy said as he continued walking "I hope you like them"

"I'm sure I will" she said as she followed him over to the back wall where all the large chocolate bars were

Teddy knew what Remus likes because he took him with him to honey dukes so often so teddy always saw what he bought. Teddy grabbed three big bars of chocolate and two chocolate frogs then took them to tonks dropping things on the way

"What did you find?" Tonks asked as she back tracked his steps to pick up the two bars of chocolate and one of the frogs he dropped

"Chocolate" teddy replied casually as he kept walking to the counter to buy them

"15 galleons please" the same lady that had helped Remus earlier said

Tonks took her money out of her pocket then left with teddy to go find presents for hermione and Ginny since him and Remus had run out of time

"What should we get hermione and Ginny?" Tonks asked teddy while they stopped for a minute so he could rest

"Books!" Teddy yelled

"What kind of books"

"Just books"

After walking for a bit they found a nice little bookstore where teddy picked out a book about brooms for Ginny and a book about cats for hermione cause he loves crookshanks

After they bought everything she took him for ice cream as a special treat. Even though it was snowing there's never a wrong time for ice cream

Tonks has forgotten how slow teddy walked and by the time they got there they were almost out of time

Meanwhile Remus was still trying to decided what to get teddy it was between a new toy or a new shirt. So he decided to wander around to see if he could get inspiration. The first place he saw that could help him was a child's store (basically all these stores are made up) he went to the back to look at the clothes but the only t shirt he found that teddy could wear was a shirt with a dementor on it but that would be a bit scary for him so he decided to keep looking

After wandering for a while longer he decided to get teddy a little toy wand because he didn't have one and was always trying to play with his and tonks which was a big no no. He found one that was a light wood one with a streak of blue so Remus knew he would love it

After he had paid for it and left he decided to just apparate home because by now it was really snowing and getting colder

When he got home tonks and teddy were already there sitting at the table drinking hot chocolate which teddy had all around his mouth

"Can I have a sip teddy?" Remus asked as he walked over to him

Teddy didn't say anything just tipped the mug towards Remus so he could drink a bit

"Thank you teddy" he said as he wiped the bit that had spilled off of his chin

"Who should he go with first?" Tonks asked as Remus sat down at the chair next to her

"I'll take him while you wrap them we switch, ok?"

"Deal"

"Ok teddy mamas busy so what should we do while we wait for her to finish"

"Hmmm let's play hippgiff!" Teddy yelled as he started jumping around

"How do we play that" Remus asked since he had never heard of that game before

"Like this" teddy explained as he kept jumping around

A while later after tonks had finished wrapping her presents for Remus and teddy and teddys present for Remus and vice versa she walked out to the living room to find her husband and son prancing around like idiots

"Hem hem" she said leaning against the doorframe and clearing her throat "I'm done"

Remus immediately stoped prancing, he hadn't realized she had walked in

"Ok, you ready teddy?" He asked as he picked him up off the floor

"Yeah!!"

"Ok teddy here's my present for mama and your present for mama and the two books you picked out for hermione and Ginny" Remus said as he put teddy down on their bed next to the pile of gifts

"You know what mama said dada?"
"What"
"She said she thinks she'll like her present"
"How does she know what she gonna get?"
"I showed her at the store !" Teddy explained proudly

"Ok let's just wrap them so then we can put them under the tree, k?"

"K"

Almost an hour later after Remus had finally untangled his son from the tape for the fourth time they had finished wrapping all the presents.

"See aren't they nice? Now we can put them under our little tree" Remus said as he picked up teddy and the pile of wrapped gifts

Once all the presents were under the tree they all sat on the couch and looked their little tree that was nicely decorated

"I'm sited for Christmas mama" teddy said as he turned to her

"Me too teddy, me too"
