Remadora after the war

Bedtime

Once they got home Tonks put teddy down and started to make some chicken and potatoes for a small dinner for the three of them. It was a very quiet meal except for teddy rambling on and on about everything and anything. It went a little something like this

"Hey mama?"

"Yeah teddy"

"You know what I did today"

"What did you do"

"I ate apple cubes. Ya know cubes better than apple.. uhh what they called uhh apple stipes ya know the long pieces of apple?"

"Yes teddy apple slices"

"Oh yeah apple slices that's what they are"

"Hey dada?"

"What's up"

"You know what I did today?"

"What did you do"

"I ate apple cubes. Ya know cubes are bett-"

"Alright teddy time for bed" Tonks interrupted

"But I didn't finish all my tatoes"

"Ok fine three more then I'm putting you to bed"

"Ok" teddy began to eat his last three potato's as slowly as he could so he could spend as much time with Remus as possible

"Teddy could you eat a little bit faster please?"

"Why"

"Cause it's past your bedtime"

"Nuh-uh"

"Alright bedtime teddy"

"But mam-"

Too late. Tonks has already picked him up and was on her way down the hall to his bedroom. Once she got in there she took his shirt off and grabbed a pyjama shirt. She didn't let him choose cause she just wanted to get him to bed. She quickly put his midnight blue pyjama shirt and tucked him into bed without milk or a book or anything she just kissed him on the forehead and tucked him in.

She was halfway to his light switch when she heard teddy calling from his little bed across the room.

"Mama?"

"Yes teddy what now"

" can I talk a dada pease"

"No he's busy right now"

"No he's not"

"Yes he is now please just go to bed"

"No thanks"

"Please?"

"Fine"

Tonks thought she had won this battle with him so she turned off the light, walked out of his room and shut his door but then she heard him again.

DADAAAA

oh Merlin she could hear Remus coming down the hallway from the kitchen. He went to go to the room but Tonks was standing there

"What's wrong? Why did he scream?"

"No reason"

"Oh come on Dora please let me see him to try to calm him down?"

"Oh fine just calm him down and then leave the room"

"Thank you"

Remus quietly opened the door and peeked in. Remus didn't expect him to be asleep or even close and sure enough he wasn't he was standing in the middle of his room watching the door.

"Oh hi dada" teddy said rather casually

"Erh hi teddy why were you yelling?" Remus said as he picked him up

"Oh just cause. Can you tell me a bedtime story?"

"Sure" Remus said as he walked over to Teddy's little bookshelf in the corner of his room with teddy still in his arms "we could read the tales of Beedle the bard or we could rea-"

"No no no not those stories"

"Then which ones"

"The ones bout the morders" teddy said very confidently

"The what?"

"Ya know you and the other one and the other one and the other one"

"The what the mor- oh you mean the maurauders"

"Yep this things"

"Oh ok well um I guess I could tell you a few stories"

" ok well one time we got locked out of our common room"

"Uh huh and then what happened"

"Well we had been out a little past curfew playing exploding snap and drinking butter beer down at hogsmede and then we tried to all go back to our common room to sleep but the fat lady was completely gone and we thought it was really strange so we kept trying the password and it didn't work so we said it louder and louder and then finally the door opened and we thought the password had finally worked but instead of the griffindor common area it was snape and the slytherin common area. Turns out we had been screaming and pounding on the door to the dungeons and uh it's safe to say It didn't end very well m, we got sent to Dumbledore office at 2 AM."

"Next story please"

"Ok well time I accidentally pushed James down the stairs and since they're magical he almost fell straight to the bot- oh you're asleep"

Teddy had passed out right in Remus' arms. That's how Tonks found them. She had been wondering what had happened since it had been a while since he went in.

"Remus can I talk to you" Tonks said as she poked her head in the room

"Sure just let me tuck teddy in really quick" Remus said as he slowly and carefully put teddy in his bed, pulled the covers up and kissed his forehead. He then followed Tonks out of his room and into their bedroom. Tonks sat on her side of the bed and Remus sat on his.

"Look I'm sorry for arguing with you and running away like that without really telling you and not letting you see him" Tonks started

"No dora I'm sorry. I'm sorry for yelling at you and not telling you I didn't want to tell him and everything

"So I guess we're both sorry and there's toying we can do because it's too late now. It's already happened so Can we just stop fighting? Please."

"I'd like that but promise we don't bring it up again for a few years?"

"Promise"

After they made up they gave each other a small kiss and then went to sleep happy
