Remadora after the war

Birthday

Before any more wedding planning could be done or celebrated Teddy's third birthday came up first

In the first week of April tonks and Remus got hermione to come babysit teddy while they went to hogsmede to go buy him presents

"Where'd they go?" Teddy asked hermione while he sat on the floor playing with moony and his magic kit

Hermione has been told specifically not to tell him they were going to get present else he wouldn't forget and would keep asking them about them

"They-er they went to get food" she lied

"Oh ok. Wanna play magic?"

They sat on the ground and played with his magic kit for almost an hour before he got bored and decided to play blocks instead so they played that for a while

Mean while in hogsmede tonks and Remus were running around trying to find the perfect present for their little teddy

Molly sent a patronus three days ago saying that she had decided she wanted to throw teddy a birthday party at the burrow in a little over a week with all the Weasleys and Harry and hermione and some order members

The first store tonks and Remus had decided to try to find something in was a small clothing store to see if there were any good shirts for him

They walked to the back to the children's section and started to look through the rack of toddler size shirts.

"How about this one darling?" Remus asked holding up a blue shirt with a cartoon wand and a patronus that said "expecto patronum"

"I like it, I found one too" she replied while also holding up a shirt except this one was red and had a picture of a cartoon broomstick

"Let's get them both?" He suggested

"I like that plan"

Next they went to honey dukes where they knew they would find something he liked. They got an assortment of chocolates and sweets and nougats for him before packaging them all up into a brown paper bag

They still both wanted to get him one last present for his special day but couldn't decide what because he had lots of toys already and books, they already bought him candies and some clothes. They walked the streets of hogsmede for another ten minutes before stumbling upon a quaint accessory store. Not having much hope they walked in, but on the shelf on a wall they found the perfect last gift

They found flat caps in every house color with a corresponding little embroidered house crest on it. They argued for a while about which house he would be in since it really could be either

"I think he'll be a griffindor because he really doesn't have any fears right now and he'll do practically anything" Remus started

"Merlin Every three year old Is fearless But he takes after me the most with the clumsiness and the kindness" she argued back

Eventually tonks managed to convince Remus that their son was definitely a hufflepuff so they bought the hufflepuff hat and started to head home

"Can you believe he's Turing three next week Remus" she asked while they were walking "it feels like just yesterday when I left him with my mom to go meet you at hogwarts to fight"

"I really can't Dora, he's already such a great kid" he admitted

When they got in the door teddy came running towards them

"Hi mama! Hi dada! Did you get the food?" He yelled while waiting to be picked up

Tonks grabbed him and sat him on her hip and her and Remus shared a look of slight confusion

"Did we get the what?"

"The food?! Mione said you went to get food" he said with a you should already know what I'm talking about voice

They looked over at hermione who just shrugged guiltily

"Well" Remus started trying to think of a lie "we did go to get food but they er didn't have any uh good food?"

"Oh. Can we have tatoes for dinner?"

"Sure" he replied ruffling up his hair a bit

After hermione had left tonks cooked dinner and they all ate together. Once they had all eaten teddy got a bath and then got tucked in with moony to be read a story by Remus

Tonks walked in just as he was finishing the book to say good night and give him a kiss

Then both went back to their room to get ready for bed and then go to sleep both still not believing they their little boy was turning three so soon

I almost forgot about Teddy's birthday so yeah that's gonna have to happen before the wedding I hope you like this chapter. I'll try to update soon vote and comment!
