“Holy shit! These are amazing!” Jonathan held his tuxedo up against himself and looked down trying to get an idea how he would look tonight, Selina had even remembered his shoe size and purchased dress shoes, “You weren't kidding!”

“Why would I? I promised I'd get us some nice threads, and I did. I don't promise many things, but when I do,” Selina looked at the boy she now trusted her life with and smiled, “I never break that promise.” The last time the two discussed the party was when Selina had first brought it up walking Jonathan home, two days ago. Now it was Friday night, the night of the Holiday Banquet.

Selina had promised Jonathan that she already had their attire covered but he hadn't believed that for a second, yet here he was holding a very expensive suit, and there she was holding a very beautiful dress. Jonathan felt bad for not trusting her and Selina could tell he did, but she didn't blame him. They were still getting used to each others company and after all she was a homeless thief, if she were him she wouldn't trust herself either.

“Selina, how did you get these clothes?” Jonathan asked afraid of what the answer may be.

“Let's just say I know a guy.” Selina let out a quick laugh thinking of the man who unknowingly paid for her.

They were holding their clothes standing inside Selina's sewer hideout. While Jonathan continued to admire his tux up against himself in a large mirror Selina had stolen, she scanned the sewer. We can't change here, our fancy clothes will get ruined...

        “Hey Jonathan.”

“Yeah?” He asked, his excitement clear in his tone.

“We can't change here, your suit will end up looking as rough as my jeans right now. Let's go to your house.”

“My house? Oh no, we can't go there.” Jonathan's voice became small and shaky.

“Why not? I've seen the outside of your house before, why not the inside?”

“My grandmother can't know about you, Selina I told you, she takes everything good in my life away from me!” Jonathan's breathes became quick and loud.

“Jeez calm down, she won't even know I'm there.”

“Selina we can't go there, grandmother wi-” Selina put her hand on his mouth before he could finish.

“Fine. We'll change here but we have to be extra careful.” She threw her dress over a tall lamp that was standing in the corner of her hideout, Jonathan wondered why she stole such a thing without electricity but was too interested in what she was doing to ask.

“What are you doing?” He asked as she grabbed and unfolded an old blanket, she spread it out on the damp sewer stone so that it covered at least six feet by five feet of ground. Selina took off her muddy combat boots before stepping onto the blanket.

“We change on the blanket so that we don't get the clothes dirty.” Selina unzipped her leather jacket and threw it into a pile of miscellaneous clothes in the corner. She then began to unbutton her jeans and Jonathan became suddenly aware of what he was about to witness.

“Wait!” He covered his eyes and turned around, “Sorry, I didn't know you were gonna change right now.” His face was burning bright red and he could feel his palms and neck grow sweaty.
