Ch. 90: My Rock

Kihyun 

~sometime around midnight~

I couldn't sleep as I was thinking about what happened earlier today at the pool. I chewed on my lower lip as I pondered whether or not it was him that did that. Fear and panic poked at my mind as I couldn't help but think the worst. I honestly don't get why he still is trying to go after me and mess with my life. 

I thought that he would have given up since I had left my hometown for years or at least forgotten about me. But, the events lately have changed my mind about it. Part of me is glad that the events that have occurred so far haven't cross the line. But, the other part of me is worried that one day that person will cross the line and do something really bad to me or to Hyunwoo.

The thought of breaking up with Hyunwoo to protect him from this did cross my mind at one point. But, I  don't want to nor would I be able to bear to do so. I don't want this to be the reason for the end of us. I sighed deeply and rubbed at my eyes out of frustration and out of sleepiness.

A moment later, Hyunwoo flips back over thus facing me and subconsciously reaches out for me. He place his hand on my hips and squeezes very lightly before pulling me to him. A smile appears on my lips as I found it cute and endearing that he wants to embrace me even in his sleep. His touch  is what I needed to quell the dark thoughts that had been weighing down on my mind just a few seconds ago. 

I reached up and cupped the cheek that wasn't against the pillow before stroking it slowly with my thumb. He subconsciously makes a confused face but it soon changed into a soft one. "Thank you for being my rock, Hyung," I whispered to him even though he wouldn't hear me saying this before falling asleep with a smol smile on my lips.
