Hyunwoo

"I don't t-," I began to say but stopped when I saw the look in his eyes. "Okay but you got to stay behind, okay,"I stated more than asked. He nods. I returned his nod with one of my own before walking over to the stairs and going downstairs with him behind me.

My heart begins to beat faster as I got closer and closer. I subconsciously tighten my grip on on the golf club. Just as we got to the front door, I felt Kihyun grab onto the back of my shirt. I turned around to look at him and he lets go of my shirt in the process. He looks at me with a worried look in his eyes.

I gently took his left hand in my left hand and squeezed softly to reassure him with a smol smile on my lips. He inhales sharply before letting that breath out just as quickly as he took it in before nodding. I turned back around, put on a pair of sandals, and then open the front door before going through the opening.

I can hear shuffling behind me and the door being closed. I held the golf club at the ready as I walked closer to the spot that Kihyun had seen the bad person. I hid behind the fence of the Yoo's residence and peeked over to see if he was there or not.

But, I couldn't really see anything from this angle. Then, I crept up to the gate and opened it slightly before looking through. I could see a few parked cars and a granny walking on the sidewalk with some recyclables in tow. I took a deep breath before walking out from the gate and ran over to the spot where Kihyun saw him as there was no point of trying to sneak up on him.

Why because he would see us coming either way from his vantage point and if we did, he would have seen me holding a golf club for no apparent reason. Once I made it over there, I looked around for someone suspicious. I spot someone running away in the other direction. "I got you," I said as I gritted my teeth before sprinting after the running shadow.

As I chased after him, I didn't account for the giant crack in the road which caused me to stumble. When I righted myself, I didn't see the shadow anymore. I cursed under my breath and tried to think of which way I should go.

Just then, I hear Kihyun shout my name. Like that, my heart drop. I spun around quickly and sprinted back to him fearing the worst. When I got to where he was, I grabbed him by the shoulders and went to examine him to see if he got hurt without pausing to catch my breath.

"Hyung, I'm okay," he says as he tries to stop me.

"Are you sure? I heard you-"

"Hyung, I'm fine. Really."

"Then, why did you shout for me?"

"I found this on the ground," he says and points to a broken bracelet that looked familiar yet not familiar.
