Kihyun

My eyes flicker back and forth as I tried to see if that person was here or not. At some point, I felt like I might have been mistaken. Maybe, I didn't recognize the bracelet. "Kihyun, aren't you going to join the others," my mom says when I sat down with them.

"Oh, right. I forgot," I laughed awkwardly. Then, I made my way up to the front and stood in my usual spot in the choir.

"Kihyun, I thought you were going to sit this one out when I saw you take a seat at a pew," Mina, my only friend in the choir, laughs.

"Nah...I was just...was preoccupied by something," I said as confidently as possible in hopes that she wouldn't pry.

"You can tell me anything, you know? I can be your personal 'confession box,'" she smiles kindly.

"I am just worried about the upcoming math test," I lied as I continued to scan the crowd in hopes of finding that person.

"Ahhh, math is so annoying. I can never understand it since they introduced math with letters in it," she says as she shakes her fist at no one in particular. As we continue making small talk, I begin to look at the other people in the choir and in the front of the crowd. Most of the people either had their wrists covered or there is no way of telling if they lost a bracelet or something.

I looked at Hyunwoo in the crowd and saw him talking to my parents about God knows what. I sighed slightly before I glanced to my left as Mina had pulled on my arm because I wasn't paying attention to what she was saying. Mina is the type of person who talks a lot and doesn't like it when people she is talking to doesn't pay attention but she is genuinely a nice person though.

Just I looked her way, I saw someone in the front pew looking at me while fidgeting with the edge of his sleeve. But, when he noticed that I was looking, he looks away. Was it him?
