Jake woke up, his heart rate higher than usual. He was panicking, something didn't feel right with him. He gasped for air as he tried to move but then realized that he was strapped on the bed. He managed to break one of his arms out of the straps and used it to remove the other straps on his other arm and legs. He removed the mask on his face and pulled out the I.V. that was injected on his wrist. He was disoriented, everything was so vivid in his eyes that if he focused he could see the specs of dust floating in the air in detail. The lights were hurting his eyes so much that it made him teary.
"What the hell did they do to me?" Jake gasped. The lights in his room dimmed down and he was able to open his eyes slightly, it still stung a bit because of the white walls in the room.
"I see you're awake" Albert's voice echoed in the room, "How are you feeling?"
"What the hell did you do to me?" Jake snapped, looking around the room.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it," Albert says, making Jake's blood boil in distaste. Jake's eyes landed on the flatscreen T.V., that was hanging on the wall in front of his bed, and to his horror, he saw his own eyes glowing orange.
"Shit... shit! No, no, no..." He kept on repeating to himself.
What the fuck is happening to me?
"Isn't it wonderful, child? We are the chosen ones fit for my new world." Despite the calmness in Wesker's voice, there was still that hint of sinister in it.
"God damn you, Wesker--agh!" Jake snapped, and as he did so the lights in his room brightened. He covered his eyes with his hand, cursing at how painful it was.
"Now, now, Jake. Language. After all, I'm still your father." Wesker was smirking while he watched Jake in the monitor.
A little bit of discipline won't hurt. Albert thought.
"Father my ass! Barely heard anything from you for twenty years!" Jake retorted, his hand still covering his eyes.
"Jake, Jake, Jake... Why do you think you survived South America? Ever wondered why that village barely had anyone in it when you arrived?"
"What?"
"What about Africa? That assassin was about to slit your throat but suddenly, a bullet went through his head."
Jake was struggling trying to take in everything he was hearing right now. He always thought it was just mere luck that he hasn't died. He found it hard to believe that it was all Wesker who did that. He didn't care though, he never asked for it so he wasn't going to look at it as some kind of act of gratitude.
Especially with what Wesker has done to him and Sherry--shit! Sherry!
"Where's Sherry? What did you do to her!?"
"Oh you don't have to worry about Ms. Birkin, she's in good hands. We're giving her... the treatment she deserves." Wesker chuckles as the lights in Jake's dimmed down again. "You'll see."
"What did you do to her? Hey!" There was no response coming from the speakers. Jake cussed.
I need to get out of here, and I need to find Sherry. Was Jake's thoughts. But how?
He got up from his bed, checking the room if there was a way he could sneak out, there weren't any vents in the room large enough for him to fit in. The only exit in his room was the door that was next to a large mirror that stretched to the end of the wall. His orange eyes bothered him, a lot. But he just pushed the thought aside and went to the door, unfortunately, it was electronically locked. It looks like it can only be opened by a card.
Kicking it down wouldn't really do anything... or would it?
He was about to kick it down when he felt an electric shock at the back of his neck. He fell on his knees in pain. It lasted for a couple of seconds before it stopped. Jake was gasping as he got up. He leaned on the wall with his hand as Wesker's voice came back on the speakers.
"Tch, tch. I thought you already learned. Looks like we have to do this all over again." The room began to smell of a strong chemical that made Jake Dizzy.
