"Sino naghatid sa'yo?" Usisa ni ate Syd na nasa tabi ko. Naka-break kami ngayon from the practice.

I answered.

My Brother called earlier, hinatid ni Aika ang kotse a condo niya at sumabay na si Aika pa-Ateneo. Lucky dumbass.

"Kanino?" Usisa niya. Ate Syd is usually like this.

"CJ. 'Yung team captain ng Basketball Team." I said as I arranged my knee pad.

"OMG. Girl, ang gwapo niyan! What's with the two of you? Spill naman!" She hysterically said.

"You know him?" Tanong ko.

"Ofcourse. Lahat naman kilala siya." My forehead creased. "Pero hindi ako kilala niyan ha. Gusto ko makilala, though." She giggled.

"Gusto mo?" I asked and she nodded. "Sumabog mukha mo?"

"Asar!" She rolled her eyes.

"Joke. Sama ka mamaya? Sasabay ako sa kanya pauwi." I said.

"You're what? Nililigawan ka?" He eyes widened.

"Hindi! Nagkataon lang na sa Oasis din siya. Sinabay niya lang ako since I don't have a car." I explained.

"Oh, okay. No judgements here. Pero you know that he's a Zobel, right? His dad is your Father's competitor, and his Dad is a dirty player."

"Yes. He doesn't seem like his Father naman, ate." I said and tried to change the topic. "Anyway, birthday na namin next week. Sleepover tayo sa bahay?"

"Sure. One week pahinga natin ngayon because of midterms. Hindi na nagpapasok mga prof. Simula ngayon, sainyo na kaming lahat matutulog." She giggled.

"Saturday night nalang. Sa condo pa ako matutulog mamaya, eh. May jogging pa ako on Saturday. Sunduin niyo ako bukas ng hapon?"

"Sure!" She laughed and I stood up when the coach called us again.

The practice ended perfectly. After the one week break, ready na kami maglaro for UAAP. Dumalas ang practice namin last week. It's the Coach's tip, so that our body will get enough rest.

"Okay ka na?" CJ asked me. He is sitting beside me. I changed into a simple highwaisted leggings, green croptop and my favorite windbreaker.

"Yup." I said and stood up.

"Akin na." He said a reached for my bag.

"Uh- thanks." I awkwardly smiled.

"Yea. I saw your cousins doing this for you. Ang sweet niyong magpi-pinsan." He looked jealous. "Wala kasi akong pinsan na gaganituhin."

"If you don't mind-" hindi ko naituloy ang sinasabi ko. I don't know what words I will use so that it won't sound offensive.

"Hindi kami close ng mga pinsan ko. My parents and their relatives are prim and proper. Ny cousins and I only meet during special occasions. Usually, twice a year. And my Dad is- uh. I think you're well aware of it, but my isn't exactly the nicest person you'll meet."

"Sorry to hear that. Yeah, I've heard it from my cousins. You don't seem like your Dad, though."

"I don't want to be like him, anyway. If I would be in his situation, I'll play fair."
