The condominium I bought 3 months ago was perfect. It was hella expensive, but it was worth it. With its prime location, world class amenities, not to mention it's only a 5-minute walk to AIM (Asian Institute of Management).
It was a great investment, especially because I was able to pay for it in full.
...
Last year our great grandma sadly passed on, but she graciously left each of us with inheritance. I used all of it plus half of my combined savings from my modeling gig and full time job to pay for the condo.
It pays to be an investment analyst, right? You will know where to put your money.
Of course a lot of credit goes to my mom too. She taught me how to spend my money wisely. She said it's okay to buy lavish things as long as you can afford it, but it's better to live simply so you can retire early.
So, thank you, mommy! I can afford to quit my full time job and study for a year. Although, my modeling gig is still active. I need it so I have some money coming in.

As I entered my 1 bedroom unit, I instantly felt at home. Finally, I have something I can actually call my own. This is mine.
I spent the past 2 months furnishing this unit. Researched a lot of home interior designs, brainstormed with Mitch on the theme and all the works.
The property manager also assisted me and coordinated some issues with me from time to time. It was a lot of work, but I welcomed it. I needed the distraction.
Overall, I am satisfied. I settled with a modern rustic design.
Here, let me show you.
The living space that is very cozy and welcoming,
The fully equipped kitchen,
Ok, my dining table is a little small, but I'm not expecting any visitors except Michelle. For me, it's perfect.
The bathroom. Oh I can see myself relaxing here after a long tiring day.
Finally, my bedroom!
I am extremely happy. I love the rustic feel and modern elegance on the interior design.
This is home.
I took off my high heels and slumped on my cozy sofa. "This is the life."
I stretched out my hands and legs and laid down on the sofa. I plan on lounging here all day since I have nothing planned to do this afternoon.
I rested my eyes for a bit and recalled my trip to AIM this morning. I cannot wait to start studying again.
Then my thoughts drifted further to my encounter with Dr. Beckett, or as I would call him - Dr. Brown Eyes.
I smiled at the thought of him, of his eyes. Actually, come to think of it, I didn't have the chance to really look at him. For some reason, I was only fixated in his eyes. His mesmerizing light brown eyes.
My smile grew wider when I remember the wide smile and pearly white teeth that he effortlessly showed off.
"Wait a minute, Eli!" I scolded myself. "Stop thinking about that guy! You don't even know him!"
I stood up and paced back and forth in my living room. "I mean, for all you know he has a girlfriend, or a fiancé, wife..or maybe even a boyfriend! Who knows?!"
I'm clearly losing my mind. I must stop thinking about him. I'm here to study. Nothing more and nothing less. "You have no time for stupid relationships, Eli. I mean, I'm sure this is nothing, but why won't those eyes leave me alone!" I hurriedly pick up my cellphone and dialed Michelle's number.
"Come on..pick up, pick up." She is not answering her phone. I looked at the time. It's only 2pm. "Shoot. She's probably still working."
Mitch isn't picking up so I sent an SMS instead. "Mitch, call me as soon as you can. It's nothing serious, don't worry. I just want to tell you about a certain Dr. Brown Eyes." I put my phone down and rushed towards the bathroom. "I need a cold shower."
...
My mind was clear after the shower. I decided to just go out for a coffee and snack. I will check my emails too, maybe Ana, from the modeling agency, has something for me.
I put on my favorite denim jeans and a laced cropped top. I gave myself a once-over. Satisfied, I picked up my bag, laptop, and headed out the door.
"Okay, here goes nothing."
