Dance Class

Friday morning.

Today is the day of the dance class, and I am super excited. I have been waiting for it for weeks now.

I know that I may not be the best dancer, but I will definitely give my 100%. Besides, it's also another fun way of keeping in shape.

The dance class will start at five o'clock, and will run for an hour or so. Which means, we still have little time to freshen up before we start our "Netflix and chill" night.

I wonder what movie we're going to watch later? Too bad Mitch isn't available, but it'll still be fun for sure. Both Andie and Mari will be here.

I decided to bake cookies before getting ready. I still have an extra hour, so I'll just be productive. Chewy chocolate chip cookies are my favorite! These will be perfect for movie night.

After baking, I took a shower and now I'm getting ready for the dance class.

I was searching my closet when my cellphone rang.

"Hello?" I answered without checking who it is.

"Hey, it's me." I know that voice very well. It's Mari.

"Hey. Are we going to the studio together?" I asked, finally found what I want to wear.

"About that, I'm meeting one of my colleagues right now. Is it okay if I just meet you there?" He asked.

"Oh. Of course. Don't worry. It's not a problem. I'm sure I can find my way." I said with a smile.

"Ayt then.." He paused, then he added. "I can't wait to see you."

What he said caught me off guard. He can't wait to see me? I gulped. I didn't know what to say..but at the same time, I liked how he said it. It gave me goosebumps.

"Uhmm.." I hesitated. I'm out of words.

"Hey, you don't need to respond to that." He chuckled. "I just want to say what I feel." He took a deep breath. "And right now, the truth is..I miss you."

Awww...that's so sweet of him.

The truth is I miss him too..even if we went jogging together yesterday, I still want to spend more and more time with him.

Before I can respond to what he said, I heard a person greeted him on the other side. It must be the colleague he was talking about.

"Hey, Eli. Gotta go. We'll talk more later ok? Bye." He said then the line was cut.

I was left with different emotions. I was suddenly excited and nervous at the same time, it's confusing. Is he introducing me to a new stage of our friendship?

If you ask me, I am really conflicted. I know that I'm not yet ready to take our friendship to another level. But on the other hand, Mari is such a good guy..perfect even. I can't bear to lose him.

I wore black sweatpants paired with a black cropped t-shirt. I tied my hair in a ponytail then proceeded to go to the studio.

As I came near the entrance of the studio, I can already hear the music blasting from the speakers.

Seems some of the students are dancing already. I got excited and pumped up. I wonder if Mari is already there?

I opened the door to the studio and entered.
Some students are dancing, some are sitting huddled on the floor, and some are just chatting in one corner.
