아홉: Pot meets Kettle

Chenle looked into the brown hair's eyes to find it filled with sincerity and pain. That made his heart shake and suspicion waver. Somehow, he couldn't hold it against him. The other felt so familiar... "Fine. We'll trust you this once." Jeno let out a sigh of relief as he heard that then there was tapping on wood, signalling Haechan had something to say. He signed in a serious gesture as it was translated to speech. "BUT. If you think you could lie to our face and get away with it. You're wrong." The brunette gave a smile as he was done, sending an unspoken message to the taller. Jeno swallowed as he gave a nod, not wanting to anger him more.

"Jeno!" A shout could be heard from the quarters as the three started panicking a little. "I don't have much time but go to the cell, get everyone out of here! Escape." Jeno whispered quickly as he head for the door. Chenle and Haechan nodded as the green hair pulled his prince along. "Hide here first." The younger whispered back, not wanting the brown hair to get in trouble either. The tallest gave back a nod as he said, "Please be careful, my love." Chenle got stunned for a moment, looking back as he did. "Wh-" "If you don't come out this instance, I will fire you! You hear me, you despicable boy!" Haechan pulled Chenle before he could say another word. Leaving quickly, Jeno quickly but carefully went to the nearest bathroom, hiding in a stall.

As the shouts got louder, Haechan along with his Butler, walked in a normal pace trying not to be suspicious. "What does he even mean...my love..." Chenle unconsciously said out loud as the older gave him a sad smile. Somehow as to say 'don't trust him too much or you'll get hurt.' Seeing that, Chenle's eyes diverted from the other. 'Does he like me?' 'Do I like him?' 'Why does he feel so...comforting...' The green hair bit his lip, the thoughts clouding his head. Slowly consuming him. "Help me. I can't bear to lose someone I love again."

Who is it?

The green hair felt a hit on his arm as he snapped out of his thoughts. Heterochromatic eyes stared into his brown ones. "I-yes my prince?" " I'm sorry to interrupt your daydreaming but we're here. Please open the door." The brunette signed as he tapped the lock slowly. "Yes of course!" Chenle answered, flustered as he fumbled with the keys. Haechan sighed watching the boy before grabbing the keys himself and unlocking the door in one swift motion. Chenle muttered an apology as the prince gave him an okay sign. As they head down, noise could be heard. A deep voice saying, "Hyung, I think that's enough," someone letting out short breathing as the other said, "You don't have to push it anymore." Both males looked at each other sending curious looks as they did.

"I don't think I can make it..." Taeil said, letting out more deep breathes. "It's okay Hyung...I don't think you should tire yourself out it's been a long day-" "But I-" "Guys." The orange and black hair looked up, only to find Jaemin staring at the prince and his butler. "Sorry to interrupt but we have to go. Now." Chenle said, his tone serious. "What?" The three said in unison, their voice coating with a layer of shock. "Mark knows our plan and I think he's trying to get rid of us." Chenle interpreted with the same tone he had. The brunette showing a serious expression. "What? How?" Jaemin said harshly as he got closer to the bars. "No time to explain, let's go." The green hair said as the cell's lock broke open, the golden residue left on it. "Got it," Taeil said, ready to follow them as Jisung send a worried look to his Hyung. "You use too much magic, Hyung... you'll get tired..." The black hair gave a small smile of reassurance "I'll be okay, don't worry alright?" The orange hair pursed his lips together, looking down as he did. "Okay."

Shouts were sounded as loud banging could be heard, making all of them panic more. "Hurry guys!" Chenle said as he rushed forward, Taeil and Jisung following as he did. Unconsciously, Haechan got a hold of Jaemin's hand pulling him as he ran. Jaemin's eyes widen in surprise but, didn't complain. He's enjoying it. Despite this dangerous situation, a warm feeling coated his heart when they touched. His heart desperately beating against his chest.

Anxious and warm at the same time.

"What the hell were you doing in this part of the castle, Jeno?" Venom dripped off the red-eyed voice as he glared at the other. "I couldn't find the bathroom so I-" A laugher was sound out before the brown hair could finish his sentence. "You mean to tell me, after all this time. You were finding the bloody bathroom?" "Y-Yes, sir." Jeno stammered as the black hair got closer. "Bullshit." Mark's voice got deeper as his eyes glowed in anger. Jeno tried not to break the gaze between the both of them, trying not to be suspicious. "You can't lie to me. I know what you did. So before I fire you," The older growled, making the other's gaze shake a little. "Tell me. What. were. you. doing?" The taller swallowed. He was in a dilemma. He knew he should tell but his gut was telling him no as Chenle's voice echoed in his head.

"We'll trust you this once."

"No," Jeno answered, his voice soft. "What?" "No. I won't tell you." Jeno said now looking straight into Mark's eyes. "You little-" Footsteps could be heard as Mark's attention was directed to the other doorway. "I'll deal with you later," Mark said as he turned quickly. Jeno almost wanted to protest but he was too late. Mark darted to the main hallway, his eyes already glowing, a ball of gold forming in his hand. His red eyes glittered with gold as he used Taeil's magic.

"You fools can't run from me." Mark chuckled, voice dark.
