Mute Mate

Chapter 6

~Y/N POV~

Walking to school this morning with Jisoo was just like any other day. She spoke while I listened and maybe signed a few things to her here and there but there was a slight change, a change that surprised me but I wasn't complaining one bit.

Taehyung decided to walk with us to school. He didn't talk much but I noticed how he would quietly observe the both of us and sometimes Jisoo would give him funny looks for it because as we both know Taehyung he's very outgoing and talkative so it's unusual for him not to say anything.

When we got to school, Taehyung didn't leave us, in fact he walked me to my locker and hovered around a little bit. Again I didn't complain about it but Jisoo seemed to think it was weird and dragged him down the long corridor of the school to her locker I assume or just out of sight since they did disappear among the crowd of students piling into school to start off the new day.

I think Taehyung is in for some sort of scolding from his twin since Jisoo was doing nothing but scowling at her brother for his weird behaviour and it is kind of weird. He's randomly taken this attachment to me and I don't know why. It's like when we were best friends when we were kids, almost joined to the hip as you would say. I use to be a lot closer to him than Jisoo but that's because he would hog me to himself and not let me play with any one else. I doubt that would ever happen again but it's not too bad of a thought. .Thinking back on it I kind of like that idea, just to get that kind of attention from him.

Defiantly my crush is coming back and it's coming back hard. There's this force to him that I can't explain, something that makes me want to be around him all the time but again I think that's just my massive crush for him making me think that way.

My first lesson of the day was Chemistry, my worst enemy and not the best class in my opinion to start off the day.

I opened my locker to grab some of my books, especially my chemistry jotter and slammed by locker closed and put it in my bag. I turned around, still in the middle of zipping up my bag but I was forced to look up when someone gave me a little nudge on the shoulder.

I would gasp but obviously nothing came out, instead my mouth hung open and I grabbed my little white board to write angrily at the person that pushed me.

The blonde girl laughed at me, and to be honest I kind of forgot her name, she's irrelevant to me and she's given me nothing but dirty looks since she started here. She put her hand over my white board to stop me from writing and I wanted nothing more but to hit her with it right now. No one touches my board unless I trust them with it, it's one of the only ways for me to communicate with people that don't know sigh language yet but hopefully if my dreams come true I can start to teach others the language.

"You won't be needing that. I'll do the talking here, you just listen."

I rolled my eyes and glared at her for her attitude. I'm never normally this rude to people but she's rude to me first and to think she's going to be the next Luna bothers me so much.

"Taehyung is mine. So whatever you think you have with him, is in your own dreamland. I'm gonna tell you this once, stay away from my mate."

She points at her own chest and I wanted to laugh so bad, so I bit my lower lip to scribble fast on my board to tell her it's sad that she felt the need to tell me this and I reminded her they're not real fated mates. Taehyung could still find his real one and I bet she would be so much better for him than she ever would be. This girl gives me bad vibes, ever since the moment I saw her.

Upon reading my board her eyes lit up in rage, balling her fists and her face turning red.

"How dare you?! I'll be your future luna whether you like it or not! You pathetic excuse of a human. I'll make sure of it that you and your family are kicked out this pack for good."

She grinned at her own words but I highly doubt Taehyung would allow that. Maybe if they were true mates then yeah but no I've known Taehyung longer to know he wouldn't do that to me or my family. She didn't scare me but I had one more thing to say to piss her off completely. I used my sleeve to wipe my last words on it and smiled to myself as I write down a question.

I wrote: WHAT'S YOUR NAME AGAIN?

As predicted she grunted in anger and stomped her foot. Her eyes flickered from her normal brown to her golden eyes, the ordinary eye colour of a wolf with no rank. She took one step towards me but stopped when a loud voice boomed through the corridor.

"YERI! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

It was Taehyung using his alpha voice. It was the first time anyone for that matter heard him use it. I didn't even know he could do that yet. It didn't affect me much but flinch at the loud booming voice whereas Yeri had a whimper escape her lips because of an alpha shouting at her. Right now she reminded me of a sad puppy, if she had a tail it would be between her legs right now with lowered doggy ears. That would be so cute.

With Yeris frozen body Taehyung took massive steps toward her, gripping her arm and forcing her to turn around to face him. She only lowered her gaze and he used his long fingers to force her sights up to him, glaring with his dark angry eyes.

"Why were you bothering Y/n?" Taehyung

She said nothing to him and Jisoo ran to my side and linked our arms together.

"WELL?" Taehyung

She flinched, her shoulders jumping up with fright as everyone around us watches.

"We were just talking." Yeri

She whispered but Taehyung didn't budge.

"About?" Taehyung

I turned to Jisoo and began to sign to her. Telling her what Yeri really said to me and explaining what happened. Jisoo nodded when I was finished and looked at Taehyung who met her eyes after a couple seconds of not noticing. They stared at one another with hard eyes, like they were having a heated discussion until Taehyung broke eye contact with Jisoo and grabbed Yeri by the upper arm.

"Yeri we have to talk." Taehyung

He pulled her away, dragging her down the corridor through the sea of people that were watching but dispersed when Taehyung told Yeri they had to talk knowing all this drama was now over. I watched the two disappear until Jisoo took my attention.

"Y/n we better get to class." Jisoo

She began to walk with me still with linking arms down the corridor to our next class, in the opposite direction than Taehyung and Yeri. I really wanted to know what they were going to talk about and what Jisoo and Taehyung said to each other but I have a strong feeling I wont be told a thing what it was about.

As we walked toward sour classroom I saw one of Taehyungs friends pinning up a poster of some sorts. I only caught a glimpse of the words but I'm pretty sure it said dance on it. If there's a school dance I'll defiantly go to it. Sure it'll just be me and Jisoo or if Jisoo gets a date then I'll go myself. I like the music they play since the one last year was really good.

That's something to look forward to I guess, but I know I won't like seeing Taehyung and Yeri go together no one has to tell me that as it's obvious they'll go together as future alpha and Luna.

How knows I might find a date for the dance.
