Wooyoung let Luke drag him through the small store while putting random items in the hand basket he had grabbed. He chatted happily about what he was thinking about making for dinner that night and that he couldn't wait to spend the evening together.
It made Wooyoung's head spin. This was all so overwhelming and he still couldn't understand what was going on.
Luke had left him. So why was he here now?
"Sweetie, are you ok?" Luke turned back around and tilted his head. "I asked you what you want for dessert."
Wooyoung swayed in place as a wave of dizziness hit him. "It... It doesn't matter. I need to go to the bathroom." He was surprised when Luke let him pull his hand away and he hurried to the far corner where he knew the bathrooms were located.
Rushing to the sink, he turned on the water and started to splash it on his face. The cold shock seemed to help calm his nerves a little.
When he looked up at himself in the mirror, he realized he had washed some of the makeup off his face and he saw the bruising Luke had left on his jaw. He could see each individual finger print on his right cheek and a thumb print on his left. They were a dark shade of purple too.
He had to get out. Wooyoung covered his mouth with his hand and peeked out the bathroom door. When he didn't see Luke, he ducked down and hurried down one of the aisles. The front door was too far away, but there was an employee working near by, so he went over to him and tapped his shoulder.
"Hello, how can I help you?" The girl said.
Wooyoung winced at how loud she was and spoke into his hand. "I n-need help. Please, can I use your phone?"
"Um," She hesitated and looked around. Then she gasped when he lowered his hand enough for her to see the bruising. "Come here." She pulled him toward the employee room in the back and watched the door while handing Wooyoung her phone. "Call whoever you need to."
"Thank you." Wooyoung felt tears coming to his eyes as he dialed the first number that came to his mind. "Please pick up..."
As the phone kept ringing, Wooyoung knew it would be a long shot since he was calling from an unknown caller.
"Please..."
"Mr. Choi's office, how may I direct your call?" A deep voice said on the other line.
Wooyoung pulled the phone away from his face, momentarily stunned by the greeting. He had called San's cellphone... "U-Um, I need to speak with S- ah, Mr. Choi please, it's an emergency. Tell him it's Wooyoung calling."
"Mr. Choi is in a meeting right now, I'll have to take a message." The man sounded hesitant as he spoke.
"What about Pierre? Please, please, I need to speak with him or San." Tears came to Wooyoung's eyes. The girl helping him looked at him with concern before looking back through the crack in the door.
"O-Ok, let me see what I can do." Hold music started to play.
Wooyoung let out a strangled sob and covered his mouth.
"There's someone tall and blonde circling the store, is that him?" The girl asked.
"Y-Yes. Please, just a little longer..." Wooyoung looked at her with pleading eyes. She nodded and looked at the door.
"Maybe you should hang up and call the police."
Wooyoung had thought about it, but he has the suspicion that with Marcus on his side, nothing would really happen to Luke. "It wouldn't do anything. San has a different kind of power available to him."
