Almost an entire day passed before Wooyoung felt like he was comfortable enough to make a decision.

San and Jongho had been respectful to his wishes and given him plenty of time alone to collect his thoughts. Each one would come and check on him individually, but it was easy to see that things were tense between the brothers.

Wooyoung knew he needed to put an end to that too, but he didn't know when the right time would be. But before that, he knew he needed to have a talk with Jongho.

It was the one thing that had been on Wooyoung's mind almost more than what decision he needed to make.

Why was Jongho even here? He had walked away twice now without giving Wooyoung the chance to ask any questions or even say anything.

But here he was, sitting in the other room waiting for Wooyoung to make a decision on how quickly he wanted to die.

Wooyoung solder himself at the thought. He knew he needed to try and stay positive. That was going to be the only way he could survive this.

It was hard though. The 'what if' statements kept creeping in and taking over.

What if they couldn't find a donor?

What if the leukemia took over before they could treat it?

What if he was too weak to survive?

He was already so tired right now, once chemotherapy started it was going to get even worse.

When Dr. Fields came in and started to do a check up, Wooyoung motioned for him to sit so they could talk.

"How are you feeling?" The man asked, giving Wooyoung a kind smile.

"As ok as I can be. I've... I've made my decision." Wooyoung adjusted himself so he was sitting up a little more. The doctor waited patiently for him to continue, which he appreciated because the words he wanted to say terrified him. "I... I want to be put on the donor list."

"I see. Are you sure?"

Wooyoung nodded. "I know the risk of the surgery is great, and that it could kill me. But then again, I'm already dying now, aren't I?" He locked eyes with the doctor.

The man sighed and stroked his beard, but he nodded. "Yes. If left untreated, you will die. Doing the transplant is the only way that we know of that will eradicate the cancer completely."

"And while we wait, we will still do chemotherapy to stay ahead of it?"

"Yes. I'm glad to see you listened to what I was saying. I know it's hard to stay focused after the news is dropped." Dr. Fields stood up and walked over to the far wall where a couple of files were sitting on the counter. "If this is what you want to do, I'll just need your signature on a few things."

"Yes. It's what I want to do."

"Do you have any family that I can contact for you?"

Wooyoung looked down at his lap. "My parents, but honestly I don't think they'd care. They don't approve of me or my life choices."

Dr. Fields paused but didn't ask any further questions. "I've marked everywhere you need to sign. Read through it thoroughly, this goes over everything to expect, plus the fact that you give me permission to search for a donor as well as perform the surgery. There will be more documents to sign once that gets closer, but this will at least get us started."

He left Wooyoung alone to sift through everything. All the paperwork seemed in order, so he didn't have a lot of concerns. But with each initial and signature, Wooyoung felt like he was adding one more stone to the bag that was going to drag him to the bottom of the ocean.
