The first few days living with Jongho were surreal. That was the only way Wooyoung could describe it. He couldn't believe he got to wake up next to the handsome farmer every morning now, and when he did, it was always with Jongho's arm wrapped tightly around his waist.
Even though they were home, Jongho still spent the majority of his day at the house to make sure Wooyoung was settled and doing ok.
It was almost to the point of being obsessive, like when Jongho nearly followed Wooyoung to the bathroom, but part of Wooyoung still found it sweet.
Bailey was always present, following one of them around the house. He definitely made Nova nervous because she spent a lot of time either in the bedroom out of his reach or sitting on Wooyoung's shoulder.
It was really nice to be able to sit back and relax without having to worry about tests or waiting to see if a donor was available.
Whenever Jongho had to check on a few things, Wooyoung would sit on the patio so he could enjoy the fresh air and wait for him to come home.
Several people would come by and welcome Wooyoung to the farm. It was weird that everyone knew him already, but it just went to show how much Jongho must have spoken about him.
After a few weeks had passed, and his vitals stayed at a good, healthy level, Wooyoung started going out with Jongho on his delivery trips. He wanted to be able to help around the farm and that was a good place to start.
They would visit all of the stores that bought or traded produce with Jongho and make sure they got what they ordered, as well as let them know of the change in selection coming up with fall coming to an end.
"Wow, I didn't realize just how much you did for this." Wooyoung said after climbing into Jongho's truck after their final delivery. "It's very rewarding."
"It is." Jongho hummed. "That's why I love it so much. So now what?" He asked, turning over to Wooyoung.
"Well," Wooyoung started, but he was interrupted by his stomach grumbling. They both started to laugh and Jongho pulled Wooyoung across the truck seat so they could sit next to each other as he pulled away. Wooyoung couldn't stop smiling as he used the center seatbelt and leaned into Jongho's side. "So obviously I'm hungry. How about I cook us a nice dinner?"
Jongho chuckled a little more and tightened his grip. "Are you sure you feel up to cooking? I know this was a big day for you."
"It was, but it was also a very good day." Wooyoung tilted his head to rest it on Jongho's shoulder. "I'm ready for things to get back to normal."
"I know babe. It'll get there. We just need to be patient. Today was a good start and we can start working up to more things as time goes along."
"True. Well and I don't want to put anyone out of a job, so I figure I can help you out with your deliveries, but I can also help keep the house clean and such."
"Woo, you don't need to be some glorified housewife." Jongho pursed his lips. "That's the last thing I want. If we need to look at getting you a car so that you can get a job then we can do that too."
Wooyoung was silent for a long moment. He was still trying to figure out exactly what he wanted to do now that he had this new life in front of him. There were endless possibilities of what he could pursue, but no matter what direction he would let his mind wander, there was always one thing that held him back.
And that was Jongho.
He didn't want to ever be away from Jongho, and he knew that Jongho was tied to the earth here with his love for the farm. Wooyoung would never, ever, ask Jongho to move away from this area, even though he was sure Jongho would do it in a heartbeat.
