Indiana woke up the next morning to John B shaking her awake. They were supposed to have a meeting with DCS today, so they would have to make a good impression. Indi got up and put on a pair of shorts and a shirt.

She was on her way to the kitchen, when she passed her dads old room where JJ was on the bed with some random girl he had hooked up with again.

"Get out" she told her and watched how she quickly gathered all her belongings, that were scattered on the floor and took off. JJ just looked at Indi in confusion.

"What was that all about?" He asked Indiana.

"I don't like strangers in my house" she said and turned back to walk into the kitchen. That was clearly a lie. She didn't like seeing JJ with another girl, even tought she knew she would never have a chance with him.

-----------------------------------------

"Okey John and Indiana, it has come to our attention, that the two of you are living on your own" the annoying women from DCS said.

They had done this several times before, so there was nothing new, they just had to lie their way out again.

"No" John B lied, shacking his head. "No" Indi backed up his lie and gave the women a look as if she was joking.

"I need honesty to help you guys" The social worker said. "That's what we all want, right?" she asked.

"We are being honest" Indi continued to lie.

"Okay when is the last time you spoke to your uncle?" She asked the two of them, obviously not believing them anymore.

"Uh, 34 minutes ago" John B said looking at his nonexistent watch.

"Is that also the last time you saw him?" She now asked Indiana.

"No, I saw him 2 hours and uh 43 minutes ago? He was shaving in the bathroom and told me to leave him alone" she told her with a small smile, proud of the lie she came up with on the spot.

"Guys, we're gonna come out there tomorrow to talk to your uncle." She said to them, "If he's not there, we're gonna move forward with foster care. I want to assure you, we are gonna find you both safe and loving homes."

"Wait, hold on, homes as in plural?" she asked her disbelief. Her biggest fear was to not just to be separated from the island and her friends but then also her brother. She doesn't know how she could survive without him.

"Well we are going to try the best we can to keep the two of you together but I can't promise anything." she answered.

"Well then we are not going." John B stated.

"I don't really think you have a choice but as I said I will try the best I can. But it certainly won't be easy with that record of Indiana, and there are not a lot of people that want several foster children." She said before walking them out the office.

Of course she had to mention her record. As I said before, I sometimes get into trouble. Mostly because I listen to JJ plans and then we both get caught. That boy just can't come up with good ideas.

-----------------------------------

I was standing on the dock with John B as we were listening to the news of hurricane Agatha.

"Guess we have to reschedule with DCS" I turned to John B with a smirk.

He smirked back before taking out his phone and calling a number on his phone. I waved at him before making my way back to the Chateau. I knew there wasn't a point on waiting on John B, because he had to get something done at his work before the hurricane was coming.

I walked down the road, feeling the small raindrops on my skin that had started to fall. I looked up and scrunched my face at the black clouds that were above me.

I then heard a dirt bike come to a stop on the road that was next to me. I watched in confusion as the mysterious person started to take off his helmet so I could see his face.

Rafe.

Rafe Cameron was one of the biggest Kooks in Figure Eight. I don't really know a lot about him, because he is 19 and isn't in school anymore.

"Hop on, I'll give you a ride" he said.

"I'm fine" I told him before I started to continue my walk home. I quickly froze when I heard a loud thunder right above me.

"Come on, I won't do you any harm"

I looked back at him and he stretched the helmet out for me. I thought about it for a minute just starring at the helmet. Another thunder was heard and I took the helmet from him not thinking about it anymore. I wasn't the biggest fan of thunders.

I put on the helmet and sat down on the dirt bike right behind him.

"You should probably hold on to me if you don't want to fall off" He said looking back at me. I hesitantly wrapped my arms around him but quickly tightened my grip as he started to take off. I had my eyes closed for the entire ride and only opened them again when we came to a stop.

"This isn't my house" I said to him, as I saw the big mansion in front of me.

"I know, it's mine. There wasn't enough time to drive to the cut before the hurricane, so I thought it would be the safest to bring you here" He said and started to walk to the entrance of the big house.

I was mad at myself for trusting Rafe but know I didn't really have another option to go to. It was a too long walk back to the cut.

"Come on Indiana, what are you waiting on?" He called for me from the entrance.

I realized I hadn't moved but when I heard another thunder and it really started to pour rain, I ran over to the entrance. I followed him into the kitchen as he asked me if I was hungry.

I realized I hadn't eaten since the morning and as my stomach grumbled I said yes.

He put a pizza in the oven and told me to follow him. He led me upstairs and disappeared in a room. He came back out with girls clothes. They were probably his sisters and after I put them on, I joined him downstairs in the kitchen again to eat the pizza. I had to admit, he wasn't that bad, or thats at least what I thought in that moment.

After we had eaten we went back upstairs to his room. We were sitting on his bed  just talking about random stuff.

"So where is your family?" I asked him, because I had wondered why the whole house is empty.

"Sarah is with Topper and where the rest is, I don't know" he answered.

I started to look around his room and then catched Rafe starring at me.

"What?" I asked him with a smile, wondering why he was starring at me.

"You know, you're not that bad for a Pogue" He said and smiled at me.

"I guess, you're not that bad for a Kook" I smiled back.
