INDIANA II JJ Maybank (Outerbanks)

chapter thirty three

They were all sitting on the edge of the boat waiting on the boys. They saw the HMS Pogue nearing them from the distance.

"You forget your keys or something?"

"You need a tow?"

"Don't give them the satisfaction of thinking this worked." Kie said to them.

"I would never." Indi told her.

"Absolutely not." Sarah joined in.

"You gotta admit it was funny." John B said grinning at them.

"John B." Kie began.

"Uh, what's that?"

"Mastermind, huh?" 

"I'm always plannin'." 

"And most of the time it doesn't work out. "Indi told him and John B stuck his tongue out at her, Indi returning the gesture. 

"Some patriarchal bullshit." Kie said.

"Yeah, that sucked." Sarah admitted.

"You still love u though, right?" JJ asked grinning at them with his sunglasses on.

"Yeah, whatever." Kie and Sarah mumbled. 

"Inds, what about you?" He asked his girlfriend as she jumped into the boat and went to sit down next to Pope on the edge.

"Nah, I broke up with you, remember?" She grinned evilly at him as she shielded her eyes from the sun. His grin grew knowing she was joking and went over to her and started tickling her sides. She started squealing and tried to push him away.

"You better take that back!" He said and only started tickling her harder.

"Okay, okay, I take it back." She said, catching her breath as JJ stopped tickling her. She smiled at him, as he puckered his lips at her and she placed a quick kiss on them. 

"Okay stop now." John B told them and turned back to Sarah. "You still hate me?"

"A little. We're all gonna get you back when you least expect it." Sarah responded, crossing her arms over her chest. 

"Watch your back, boys." Kiara added.

"I welcome that challenge." Pope told them.

"You don't want to mess with me Heyward." Indiana warned him and his smile disappeared.

"So, did you guys, you know..." 

"Reconcile our differences?" Kiara asked.

"Mm-mm." 

"Nah." 

"Not even close." They all denied. 

"But, we're... willing to work together." Sarah said.

"You know what? That's victory." John B said as the boys agreed with him and they all did their handshake to celebrate their victory.

"Wiggedy-wiggedy-wiggedy!" Indi laughed at Pope.

"Know why? Hydroponic." JJ said as he placed his hand on Indi's shoulder.

"Don't say that." Pope said.

"I don't think it was the Hydroponic, JJ." Indi told him and he squeezed her shoulder.

"All right, shut up. You guys ready to jack someone up?" John B asked them as now also Sarah and Kie joined them on the boat.

John B spent the day explaining to them what their plan was. He had planned how to go down the well and Pope had listed all the stuff they needed for it. The day was then spent in getting all the supplies they didn't have yet and now they were on their way to the Crain's house to get the gold.
