The next Monday when you went into work, you brought your new ID, and all the certification that came with it.

You came into the office with a bright smile, clutching the documents that officially made you Benny's wife. Last name and all.

You walked into Mr. Trambroni, and saw he wasn't really doing anything.

"Ah, Elzie! There's my favorite assistant!" He told you, although you just rolled your eyes.

"I'm your only assistant." You replied matter of factly.

"Yeah but that's besides the point, still my favorite. What you got there?" He nodded, pointing to the papers you carried with you. You looked down at them and then back at him.

"Oh right, I uh... I'm gonna need to change my paper work today. I have to change my last name." You informed him. He looked a bit confused, not sure why you'd be changing your name one week into the job.

"Why did you change your name? Are you taking mother's name or something?" He asked. He was a little curious, and kept glancing at the papers in your hands.

"No, I um.... I'm taking my husband's last name." You replied with a sheepish smile. Being able to call Benny your husband was such an elating feeling, and it seemed it always would be.

"Husband?" His eyes widened in surprise. "You mean you're married?"

"Yeah, I'm married." You smiled even wider just thinking about it. You were married. Married to the love of your life. You'd known it would be this way since the moment you first saw him. The second you looked into his eyes.

"Oh. Well then. We better get that paperwork started for you." He stood up, going to one of the filing cabinets in the corner of his office. He pulled out your file and handed it to you. You quickly opened it, pulling out the paper you needed.

"Thank you. Should I take this to Iris to get reprinted?" You asked him. He nodded, not even giving you a worded reply. He seemed a bit off, and you weren't sure why. It didn't even dawn on you the words that Iris had said the week before about you losing your job if he found out you were married.

You headed on out to the printing area, where Iris was sitting, looking at one of the magazines the company had put out. She glanced up at you and smirked, putting down her magazine and leaning back in her chair.

"Well?" She asked, getting impatient. "Whatta you want?"

"I need help reprinting this paperwork. I officially changed my name." You handed her your new certification, her glancing over it before nodding.

"So now you're officially Mrs. Baseball hotshot, huh?" She asked you playfully. You and her had actually gotten along despite the day you first met. First impressions aren't everything after all.

"Officially." You laughed. She took the paper work and starts typing out all the new information.

"How did the boss man take the news?" She asked, never once letting her eyes move from the screen.

"I'm not totally sure. Ya know he seemed kind of surprised and all, but he didn't seem upset." You told her. She nodded and handed you back your paperwork.

"Well that's good. Your copy will be at the printer in a few minutes there's already something printing." She told you, picking her magazine back up and begining to read it again.

"Thanks, see you around." You told her before leaving to go back to your workspace.

When you went home later that night, you'd been pretty tired. You had to do a lot of work on your feet today, and it didn't help that you weren't wearing your favorite shoes.
