Evita Angela Rodriguez, born on August 20th, 1967. Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez, born on August 20th, 1946.

It seems funny how you'd gone into labor the day before Benny's birthday, and then had Evita the day of. You weren't sure if he'd be upset, for you both made plans for his birthday. He just assured you that bringing another little life into the world was the best gift you'd ever be able to give him.

Laying in the hospital bed, after 26 hard hours of labor, you felt it all worth the whole to hold this beautiful baby girl in your arms. She was very pretty, just like her sister. You thought they might have been carbon copies of each other just by looking at her face. She hadn't yet opened her eyes, but you'd like to get they looked just like his, just like Evangeline's too.

"She's gorgeous..." Benny trailed off softly, sitting next to you and gazing upon the sweet bundle.

This time was really a lot better for you, as you got to hold the baby right away after having her. The first time, you'd passed out so fast you didn't even know what time it was before you'd actually held Evangeline for the first time.

Although it wasn't her fault, Evangeline's birth was a hard day for you and Benny. That's not to say it affected your loc to her in any way. You both loved that little girl more than life itself, and now you had another one to share even more love with.

"She really is. Hey look she's gonna open her eyes!" You whisper shouted, trying to draw his attention, though he was already beeline focused on her little face anyways.

"Wow.... they're beautiful." He told you, his voice was soft and calm.

The baby had indeed opened her little eyes, and behold they were actually not like Benny's. They were a light grayish green color, and you couldn't even believe it.

"They're just like yours, love." He leaned in to press a kiss to the side of your head, knowing you were too focused to even peck him on the lips at the moment.

"They are.... I thought for sure they'd be like yours." You honestly wouldn't have minded if they were like Benny's, because you thought his eyes were more beautiful than any others you'd seen in your life. No one compared to him with that.

"I'm glad they're not... I love your eyes. Now she has them too." He got you to face him now, and he took advantage of it, pressing his lips against yours. He was on cloud nine right now, and nothing could bring him down.

It had been a month since you'd brought your sweet little Evita home from the hospital. Since you'd given Evangeline the nickname 'Eva' within the week she was born, you'd decided to give Evita one too.

You and Benny called her Vivi.

Since you'd been spending more time with the new baby, Eva had gotten rather jealous of the whole situation. She was supposed to be the center of attention, or at least she though she was. It had been her own little world, and you all catered to her every wish. Now it wasn't like that, and she's gotten sad. She was nearly three by now, and wanted more than anything to just send that baby back where she came from. You'd noticed one day that she was actually sitting by the baby's carrier, rocking it back and forth as she mumbled words to her under her breath.

You smiled sweetly, thinking she was finally getting along with the idea of a little sister, but that wasn't the case. Not at all.

She began to drag the carrier away, and you had to follow her to make sure she didn't do anything that would hurt the baby.

You watched her as she pulled the little carrier all the way into the entrance way, before she tried to open the door.

"Eva, where are you taking Vivi?" You tried to sound playful, as if you wanted to be apart of her little game. Maybe she wanted to take her outside.

"Out the door. Mommy can I have a stamp?" She asked you, looking up with big round eyes. You couldn't help but laugh a little. What did she want a stamp for?

"A stamp?" You asked.

"Yes. The stamps for letters." She tried to say, but she couldn't quite pronounce her R's yet, so it sounded all cute when she said it.

"Oh, a letter stamp. Why do you want a letter stamp, bunny?" You knelt down to her level, that way she wouldn't have to bend over backwards to look up at you.

"For baby. Then the mailman can take her back." She replied. You laughed a lot bit, trying to keep yourself from chuckling too much at her idea.

"Eva, why do you want to mail your sister back? She just got here? Don't you want to have someone to play with?" You asked her all these things, but she shook her little head to you.

"No. I'll send her back and then you and Daddy will play with me again." She spoke with a pouty face adorning her features. You sighed, trying to figure out how to approach the situation.

Neither you nor Benny ever had any siblings, so it was unlikely that either of you would know how to explain this to your child. You suppose you should just try your best to fight out her feelings at least.

"Baby we can still play with you. It's just that Evita needs a little extra time with Mama and Daddy right now. Just bring me some toys and we can play now, okay?" You asked her.

She nodded her head up and down rapidly, trying her best to run into her room without slipping on the ground in her socks.

You'd have to remind Benny to pay her some special attention tonight when he got home, because you never wanted your babies to feel neglected because of the other.

You didn't have any favorites, and you never would. You'd love them both equally and so would Benny.
