The way you miss someone so much to the extent of not feeling the same without them by your side is not a welcome feeling. It's a sad blanket that sits around you and won't let you go.

Just one more day... If you could get through one more day, everything would be okay.

It's been so long since you've seen his face, or felt his arms around you. You missed the smell of him in the morning, the way you would wake up with your face tucked into his chest with the feeling of total and complete protection. It was unlike any other feeling in the world, because there wasn't a person like him in this world. The feeling of being with him was purely because of him and his overwhelmingly wonderful presence.

It was nice to spend time with friends, but at the cost of missing your family it wasn't a gain.

A career of something you always loved seemed worth it, but it wasn't. You would rather never pick up a bat again than have to deal with separation from your Benny and your two precious baby girls.

With another one on the way, things have been so hard to deal with. Your emotions were intensified by a million with all the hormones.

Sitting on the plane, getting ready for take off, you felt someone squeeze your hand beside you.

"One more day." Cece was smiling at you. She knew how much you had missed him and the girls. She was practically your sister by now, and you felt like you could tell her anything.

"I can't wait another day. And neither can whoever's in here, apparently. Keeps kicking the crap outta my bladder." You joked, trying to make light of what she said, though you were just excited to be home with your Benny.

"Have you told Benny what it is yet?" She asked you,but you shook your head.

"No, I didn't want to tell him over the phone. I wanna see his reaction."

"He's gonna be happy either way." She said, for she herself didn't know the gender either. You had found out on the trip, and wanted to keep it to yourself until you were home.

The seatbelt lights cane on, and the pilot came over the speaker telling everyone that take off was beginning, and it only made me more anxious having to sit still and think about the long trip back to California.
