Chapter 14

Sitting in the men's locker room, Benny dozed off into space, thinking about his beautiful girls. The three of you that we're simply sitting at home right now, and waiting for him to come home.

He didn't notice that some of his team mates had been discussing something, and tried to as me him something.

"Don't bother him, Duncan... He's off in La La land again, probably thinking about his girl."
Joe Rudi said, shaking head head to the ground as he laughed.

"His girl must be something real special, she's the only thing he seems to think about." Dave Duncan replied. "Makes me wonder what Mrs. Rodriguez looks like."

"Did you say something?" Benny piped up, just now hear the last part of the conversation.

"Well would you look at that, as soon as the Mrs. is mentioned, now he suddenly listens." Joe replied, taking a swig of water and sitting down on the bench.

"Yeah, whatever.... it's just that," Benny tried to think of a good way to bring it up. "Out first anniversary is coming up soon, and I don't really have anything planned yet."

"Oh, now I understand. Well, you gotta make love to the lady, even though sometimes we don't want to, right boys?" He asked, and they all laughed in unison with him.

Benny seemed confused. There was never a time that he didn't want to make love to you. It seemed strange to him that other men didn't want to do that for their wives.

Benny was by far the youngest on the team, standing at only twenty one years old. He was considered th rookie around here, even though he could outplay every single man on the team.

He didn't want to seem disrespectful to them, so he just sat quietly, waiting for them to speak again.

"Well son, have you ever taken her on a vacation? Besides the honeymoon I mean." Duncan asked him. Benny went completely red. You guys never took your honeymoon. You'd always just said it was 'postponed', even though after a while you just forgot about it completely .

"To be honest with ya, we never took a honeymoon. We had too much going on." He admitted. His face was flushed, but he didn't hide it.

"Then I reckon you outta take your lady on a trip to celebrate." Joe jumped in, making a smile come across Benny's face.

He didn't know exactly where to take you, but he was gonna make sure it was one heck of a trip. Since you'd missed your honeymoon, he'd make it up to you with a grand adventure. A relaxing one though.

Benny had surprised you on Christmas morning, with two tickets to a mystery destination. He had all the papers printed, but the name of the place had tape over it so you couldn't see. He claimed that it was a surprise for your anniversary.

You honestly couldn't wait, seeing as though you both hadn't ever taken a trip with each other. You completely forgot about even having a honeymoon.

It didn't take long for your anniversary to arrive, and on that night, you had a special surprise for him.

Benny had been looking into getting a puppy, but he couldn't find one that he wanted. They were all cute of course, but they just didn't look like they belonged in the family. They were almost too cute. Too fragile. Maybe he should just get a adult dog to begin with.

You knew he'd wanted a family dog for a while, one that would be around while the baby girls were growing up.
