here's some tips for writing a character with anxiety. A lot of people experience this to some extent, but for the people who dont, here you go.
1) feeling unable or afraid to speak in front of large crowds or to someone they don't know by themselves and directly.
2) constantly overthinking about everything. even the little things. even things they did five years ago.
3) stressing about what to say.
4) self criticism. a lot of self criticism
5) thinking that in order to be accepted, you need to be perfect
6) thinking that everyone is silently judging you
7) second guessing everything, over analysing, expecting the worst of every situation
8) very indecisive.
9) take things personally (even if they aren't meant that way)
10) has a hard time letting certain things go
11) cant turn off your thoughts/mind
12) dwells on small awkward moments for more time than necessary
13) triggers make them tense immediately
14) doesnt go to social event without a person that they're comfortable with
15) fears not being good enough, being annoying, being clingy
