1) firstly, what motivated you in the first place? what was the event that made you actually wanna write this story? it's an important thing to remember.

2) motivational quotes will get ya, you can even write them down to read later.

3) instead of it just being something fun, make it a priority. have a deadline. but like, dont take the fun out of it, just make it into something more

4) try to make it consistent. make your writing sessions regular, and set in stone. the more consistent you are, the more motivated you will be when writing

5) a dedicated writing space is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

6) a writer is always writing. story ideas pop out of nowhere, and although you might not always have a pen and paper, a laptop or even on your phone on you, you can always be thinking about your characters and what they might do next. driving, preparing dinner, doing the dishes - these are all valuable times to creatively stew. in doing this, you'll increase your writing productivity, because you'll spend more of your writing time getting words down on the page, rather than working out plot problems.
