1) mistrust. very deep mistrust even with people that they've known for years, people they love, or people that they've trusted before.

2) constantly asking why when asked normal questions. Like,

"what're you up to?" "nothing, why?"

"who're you texting?" "no one, why?"

3) severe hyper vigilance. which means, a state of increased alertness. if you're in a state of hyper vigilance, you're extremely sensitive to your surroundings. t can make you feel like you're alert to any hidden dangers, whether from other people or the environment. often, though, these dangers are not real.

4) difficulty with forgiveness

5) defensive attitude in response to imagined criticism

6) preoccupation with hidden motives, as in the person will imagine people always having ulterior motives

7) constant fear of being deceived or taken advantage of

8) inability to relax and be mostly very tense
