Chapter 21: The piggyback promise

You woke up to your phone vibrating. It was Taehyung. You switched sides to face Jungkook. He was already holding his phone. You alerted him with your movement. He locked his phone and his eyes shifted to you.

"Slept well?" He asked in a low voice.

"I did. Did you?"

"I didn't. I was checking on you every once in a while."

"I'm sorry for that, Jungkook." You said sitting up.

"Don't be, please." He paused, "Come on Taehyung and Hoseok are waiting for you in the lobby. If you need anything, I'm one call away."

You got out of the bed and went back for a kiss from Jungkook. You felt cozy. You felt home. Your eyes almost watered again. You had the urge to sit next to him and just talk about how you feel thankful for him.

You left, got changed, and went down with the boys. Faces undercover. You headed to Rua Oscar Freire, a famous shopping district. The whole thing was joyous. You ended up buying way too many unnecessary things because Taehyung advocated buying them.

You all bought this matching necklace out of irony just because you three liked it. 6 weeks ago you would've never thought that you'd mingle with them the way you are. You talked about how you're doing on the tour and how things are going. It was all untroubled and sweet.

Arriving at the hotel you had to start working on future Run Episodes. You were to shoot a sum of 5 shoots in the next couple of weeks alone to be out as 8 episodes. The boys were together eating and having some quality time.

You had a meeting with Eun Ae and the rest of the assistant crew to set things straight and to congratulate them for their work. You invited them out for a drink. As you were there, Eun Ae started talking to you about Namjoon.

"I think I'm in love," she said fearlessly. "I know it's too soon. I know what you're thinking but I really do think like I am giving up to him everything that I am. I can't describe how much I love our late night conversations about philosophy and deep human thoughts and states of existence. I think— I know, we both are in as deep. I am totally utterly purely wholly in love with him and I would scream it right here, right now. I can't stop thinking about his eyes and the way they shine at everything. The way he looks at the core of everything makes me want to jump into his being and just experience everything the way he's experiencing. I am in deep, Kaesolin. I am in too deep." She was engrossed in it you felt like she was seeing him at the back of her head while she's gushing over him.

When you went back to the hotel you received a call from your older brother from England. It's been almost 2 months since he was able to call. You got too excited you picked up immediately.

"Baaaabbbyyyy brooooothhhheeerrr!" You screamed at the top of your lungs. Your heart raced like a puma. You both get too busy these several minutes has healing powers. It's been a long while since you spoke in English.

"Biiiiggg sissstteerrr." He mimicked you. "I miss you." You've always had that unnecessary switch of roles. You've taken good care of each other for so long. He's been all you had in times of need.

"Oh, I miss you more." You said calming down. "How's work?"

"It's doing great. We've been working hard on the new Hyundai Elantra design." He started talking about how it's been tough. "Anyways, how's my sister doing with the huge boyband?" He asked.

"It's great. Things are too busy, though. I am already receiving work after this tour and I am overwhelmed."

"Don't forget to take good care of yourself, love. How've you been feeling?" Considering your family history with mental illnesses and how it ended up, you always made sure to check on each other's mental states.
