You and Jungkook had a couple of lazy days. Paul mentioned that your mother has left the country for a meeting in the Korean Hyundai headquarters. This lightened your mood. Like a dark force left the country and set it and you free. You stayed in the suite watching movies, drinking, eating, and having sex. Jungkook became a lot better at dancing salsa. You've been dancing for hours as you drank wine.
"I can't imagine my life any different." You blurted out.
"Look who's being cheesy, now?" Jungkook started tickling you. You broke his grip and ran away from him.
"You know what I really want, now?" You said as you paused the song playing. He nodded. "I want to take you to my childhood home."
"We'll meet the rest of your family?" He asked panicking. That's when it hit you. You haven't told him a lot about your family. You haven't told him anything about its current state. He's opened about everything about his family but you didn't.
"There's no rest to meet, Jungkook." Your energy seeped out of you by each letter you uttered. "My dad and younger brother passed away years ago."
"Why haven't you told me this earlier?" He stood up to hug you.
'Because I never thought I'd be here with you 4 months after' you thought.
"Remember we said we'll take it step by step? I've never talked about them as they're actually dead. They're alive inside of me. Every memory of their laughs and cries are still vivid inside of my head like they're still there. It's hard for me to just state it as clear as this." You said as you looked him deep in the eyes.
The way his eyes never shift when you reveal a dark side of you makes you fall in deeper. Fall wasn't the suitable term though. You've stood up in his love. He made your feet stronger and your legs more powerful that you can stand in front of your fears and know that the way his eyes look at you will never change. He's been supporting you with every breath you share with him and every one you're still to share.
"My mom is still alive. But, I've been on the worst terms with her for more than 7 years. I lost counting at this point." You sighed. "Anyways, how about we go and see where I grew up?" You said excitedly as you clapped in a cheerful kid-like spirit.
"Let's go!" He said and you guys got ready.
The house has been empty for years, now. But it's a family legacy so it can never be sold. It was huge. A secluded house looking on a big lake your family owned. It's an old castle that's surrounded by a large array of green fields. You can't get on the turf unless you're allowed to by one of the family or you are one of the family. On your way Jungkook was marveling at the scenery. He was too engorged in the beauty of the green fields and the winter sky. You, however, were watching his beauty. He turned around to look at you so you quickly looked the other way.
"You will never, ever, know how to be subtle." He laughed.
"Why would I be when you're right beside me?" You flirted.
"Kae! Stop it! You're being cheesy." He teased you.
"Stop using my word against me." You stuck your tongue out. That's when he suddenly put his lips on yours and sucked on your tongue. You pushed him away and glared. "Jungkook, calm down! The driver is right here." You whispered. You felt a surge of heat all over your body.
'Is he crazy? Jeez.'
"Why would I when you're right beside me?" He winked at you. You smiled and held his hands. You two looked out the windows.
"Where do we get there?" Jungkook asked. "We've been driving in this empty field for a while." He said like a bored 7 year-old.
"We're there." You said. He looked at you in disbelief. He sees no house. "We own this land, Jungkook. We're only minutes away from the gates.
"Damn, you're rich." He said looking around after he knew your family owns this.
"Yeah." You said.
Soon you were at the gate and you used your entry card to get it but it was rejected several times. When the gatekeeper came in close you realized that he wasn't the old one you had back when you were here.
"Sorry, miss, who are you?" He asked. You looked around to see of he was really talking to you.
"Yes, miss, who are you?" He asked louder. Jungkook was still in the car and he looked at you in wondering.
"Who are you, sir! I'm Catherine Reid and this is my home. Can I know why my card is being rejected?" You shouted.
"Oh." He gasped in understanding. "Miss Reid, the security system has changed ever since the moving of your mother back to Korea." He said.
"Alright! Get me in, then." You said as you raised your arms in frustration.
"I can't." He said with slight fear in his eyes.
"What the fuck do you mean you can't!!" That's my fucking home!" You shouted at the top of your lungs looking like a lunatic. Jungkook came out of the car to see what was going on.
"What's going on, Kae?" He asked in care knowing how angry you were.
"Sir! Get me in!" You hit the gate.
"I'm sorry, miss, your mother has reported that you shouldn't be let in unless she's inside." He said in defense. A new car pulled up at the gate.
"I'm here, now, Bill. Open the gates for Miss Reid." The voice pierced your ears and you and Jungkook turned around to see that serpentine face. Jungkook immediately showed respect. Your eyes almost bled at her sight. Jungkook was right there. You didn't know what to do or how to react. You shut down.
