You wore a cute Chanel dress and braided your hair. You didn't put make up on because, first, you're too lazy to. Second, Jungkook loves your natural look so much he had a long talk about how he loves your skin."Your skin is as smooth as silk. Fuck silk, your skin is more expensive than the most expensive fabric there is. What makes it special is that you're the one wearing it. You're magical. Your skin shines." You remember him saying.
"That's the good skin care regimen, Jungkook." You remember replying as you were working on something. You were too concentrated on the screen.
"Let me flirt with you in peace, Kaesolin." He unpaused his game and resumed playing. You looked at him smiling. He paused the game just to tell you that. He's a dork.
You went down to finally see Jungkook. This all felt too unreal. You opened the door and walked in to find them stopping mid-talk. They looked at you suspiciously.
"Wrong timing?" You said half the way out of the room.
"There's no such thing as a wrong time for you, baby." Jungkook blurted out.
Your brother whipped his head to him which sent a wave of fear into Jungkook's heart. He cleared his throat and repeated, "no, not the wrong timing, Kaesolin." He looked back at Paul asking for acceptance and forgiveness.
"We were done, anyways." Paul said standing up. "He's not dead. So, I guess he passed the first screening." Paul had a dry sense of humor.
Jungkook looked way too intimidated, yet, there was this glowing inside his eyes that you've never seen this bright. You wanted to walk towards him and kiss him with all the energy you've got in your body. You wanted to catch up on all the I-love-yous you could've told him and all the kisses you could've splurged on him.
"One second, Cathy." He glared. Suddenly the world snapped back to reality and you went outside with him.
"Na Ri is still in London and it's not wise for you two to stay home."
You swallowed, "we'll leave." You said as you nodded in understanding. "I want to see that woman."
"Not a wise move. Confrontation is the last thing you want now. Please stay under the radar." He patted your shoulder, "I'll leave you two for now. He'll spend the day here and I booked you Lanesborough's Royal Suite."
"Paul, that's excessive." You choked and coughed.
"It's not. I figured that if you two will do anything it won't be under my roof." You cringed visibly. "He loves you so much, Catherine." He said and left it at that.
You ran to where Jungkook was staying. He was already standing up when you got in. You ran into his embrace. You needed that recharging. He smelled your hair.
"Now your smell is bearable." He laughed. You hit him on his chest playfully and broke the hug.
"The audacity, Jungkook." You shook your head.
"I love you." He said as he took your face in to land a kiss on your lips. It felt like the intertwining of puzzle pieces as they fall in place. You put your arms around his neck. He swooped you off of your feet and kept on kissing you in all the ways you needed. You slapped his ass and squeezed it.
"I miss your ass." You said between the kisses. He broke the kiss and laughed loudly.
"I miss yours twice as much." He said as he heavily breathed and pinched yours.
You kept kissing until you heard a knock on the door. Jungkook recoiled like you electrocuted him. You quickly fixed your hair and your face. No one came in but you knew it was Paul. You guys went out to find dinner ready. You ate almost silently. You never thought of Paul to be this intimidating. He was alert like he was on prison duty.
Soon, you packed some of your clothes and Paul lended you his driver. When you got into the car with Jungkook, you couldn't stop the questions from coming.
"What made you come?"
"Yoongi came one day and talked with me. I was reluctant to hear anything he said but he slapped me. It was weird of him. He never did that. He told me that there're things I don't know and things you don't know either. I was too stubborn to listen. It didn't seem like he was going to elaborate, anyways."
"But it was when I was in the concert we had the next day you left. I looked around to watch where you filmed. I always searched for where you stood when I was in concerts. I panicked when I didn't see you anywhere around."
" I went late on cue because I was looking for you backstage. That's when it hit me. I can't do it without you." He looked away and sighed.
"Luckily, that was our last concert. I went for Sejin and told him I was leaving. I couldn't stay for press conferences and interviews if it means I had country borders between us. Surprisingly, Sejin said yes. Whether he said yes or no I wouldn't've stayed anyways." He was looking at you all the time and each time he talked about how much he couldn't make it he looked away. He was shy. You were speechless and you didn't know how to react. You were filled with gratitude towards Yoongi. He might not have heard it all, but he understood. He understood your silent looks.
What did Sejin's text mean, then? Is it that he allowed him? You wanted to get answers but you just enjoyed how much that man loved you.
You arrived at the hotel. When you got into the suite Jungkook asked you out on the terrace. You went out with him."Kaesolin?"
"Jungkook?"
He inhaled in too deep like he was about to throw some rap bars.
"I promise to trust you every day of my life. I promise to never get my eyes off of you. I promise to never close my ears when you need to talk. I promise to dedicate all my senses for you. Every love song made sense because of you. It's only natural to dedicate every love song to come for you. I promise to give you everything worldly and everything otherworldly."
He started playing in his pocket. "And this is for every promise I'll still make for you. This is a sign of me being yours and only yours. A sign of you being mine and only mine." He got a ring box. Your heart stopped.
"I know this is 'cheesy' as you say. But, when I was on the way to your house, I thought of buying us couple rings. They're our promise rings. So even when distance comes between us, those rings are parts of us we give for each other."
He opened the box. One band was embedded with precious stones all around. One after the other, you realized each one represented one color of the rainbow. The other was just plain silver. You didn't realize your tears were falling until it clouded your vision. You were too stunned to talk.
He put it on your ring finger and you did it as well. You hugged him so tight. You were crying like a baby by then. "Oh, one last thing." He said breaking the hug and looked at the sky and pointed. "I bought you a star." He got a paper out of his pockets. He named it Kae Kae. You laughed. You laughed so hard. He kissed you again and again.
"I don't deserve all the love you're giving me. I don't deserve this." You sniffed.
"I'm sorry I ever doubted you." He breathed against your neck. When you broke the hug, he brushed your hair behind your ears. The only stars that mattered right now were the ones shining in both your eyes. You loved him and he loved you. That's all that mattered in the world.
