I pulled my dress down once more as I went up to the counter to order my coffee.

The guy behind the counter looked back at me, “What can I get you?”

I looked up at the menu then back at him, “I just want a really strong coffee.”

“I can work with that.” He smiled back at me as he turned to the girl behind him, “Large black with 3 sugars.”

I glanced back at him as I handed him my card.

“You must be new around here.”

“I just moved in like last week after getting a job in the area.”

The girl turned around with my coffee.

He nodded his head back at me, “Well welcome to Vancouver, you are gonna love it here American.”

I shook my head as I walked out the door and went out to my car.

I put the coffee down as I saw that I was about 30 minutes away from the building that my job was at.

I started the car up and pulled away from the curb as it started to rain.

I rolled my eyes as I didn’t bring a jacket with me as it was so pretty when I was getting ready.

I looked down at the address as I had pulled up to a house.

                I was at someone’s house.

I looked at the address again and then saw that I was about to be late.

I grabbed my bag and went up to the front door as the rain kept coming down.

I knocked on the front door as I felt the rain going down my back.

I shook my head as the front door was opened by a large man with facial hair.

I just looked back at him confused.

                “Can I help you kid?”

                “I'm sorry I'm here for the job…”

“Hold on a second…” He went back into the house while shutting the door on me.

I looked down and saw that the only pumps I had brought with me were ruined.

The front door was reopened by a young girl with thick brown hair and big brown eyes. But her gentle smile made the wet, cold feet I had favorable.

“I'm sorry for making you stand out in the rain.” She welcomed me into the house.

I grinned back at her, “Are you Mrs. Padalecki…”

She grinned back at me, “Yes, I am, and you are Jordana Silverwood?”

                “Yes that is me.”

Mrs. Padalecki looked me over, “You are dressed up for your job.”

“Well I mean you always dress for the career you want.”
