20. That Every Broken Heart Knows

Aurelia glanced up from her laptop as he sat down infront of her at the local café the next afternoon.

                “What are you doing here?”

                Jared smiled back at her, “You are smart.”

                “And that is a question or compliment?”

                “That is an ‘I need your help figuring out what my future ex-wife wants with me’ kinda remark.”

                Aurelia narrowed her eyes back at him.

                “Genevieve said that she is pregnant, but I know I'm not the father.”

                “Are you sure about that, I mean you are her husband.”

                “She has been cheating on me. But I need to know who with so I can figure out who the actual father is.”

                “I will help you but you gotta promise me that if I figure anything out that you don’t hate me.”

                “Aurelia, I just need an answer about her other life.” Jared said back to her.

                Aurelia nodded her head with a smile as I sat down next to her at the café.

                “What are you doing here?”

                Jared leaned back in his chair, “I just had a question.”

                I laughed back at him, “You are so annoying.”

                Jared laughed back at me when his phone went off.

                “Where are you off to?” I asked him as he got up.

                “Genevieve wants to look at larger homes in the outside of town.”

                “But why look around here, I mean Supernatural is coming to a close…” Aurelia said back to him.

                Jared pointed back at her, “I can't get her to leave the city.”

                I glanced back at him, “Just show her the good of escaping a place that has caused so much pain.”

                Jared smiled back at me, “Yea, I can do that.”

                Aurelia glanced back at me as Jared left, “He wants me to look into who Genevieve cheated on him with.”

                I glanced over at her, “Jared won't like the answers.”

                “Oh I know and he promises not to hurt me when I figure everything out.”

                I smiled back at her, “You are horrible.”

                “I know but have you heard from Jensen today or yesterday or what?”

                I looked back at her as that knot in my stomach twisted again and I wanted to throw up.

                At his apartment, Jensen wiped his nose after doing another line.

                “I'm so hungry, where is all the food?” The girl from last night said back to Jensen as she looked all over his kitchen for something to eat.
