49. You Think A Heart Can Change By Trying?

Syracuse, New York                       

                Aurelia walked down the steps of the house looking at her phone as Boone walked into the house, “Have you heard from Jordana, I mean she should be here.”

                Aurelia shook her head, “She won't answer her phone, and she won't do anything.”

                Boone closed the door behind him, “Are you ready for the big speech tonight that Jordana should be giving?”

                Aurelia looked down the hallway as Graham looked back at her as Christian was next to him, “I can't give the speech Boone, that isn't my place.”

                “I understand that but does Jordana understand that?” Boone looked back at her.

                Cassie and Alaska walked into the house with breakfast in their hands.

                Alaska stopped and looked at Boone then at Aurelia, “I don’t see Jordana here.”

                Cassie glared back at Aurelia, “She isn't here?”

                “She was at the airport with us and then nothing.” Aurelia said back to her.

                “The speech, I mean this speech is everything to the families. This can't be happening right now with us. Jordana does know that with her place returning back here that her family is taking over the town. I mean the Darkness will have nothing against us when Jordana steps up.”

                Aurelia shook her head, “I don’t know what I can do.”

                Cassie glanced back at her, “You find Jordana because at 8:05 tonight, if she ain't here then you will standing on that stage infront of all of the royal families giving that speech.”

                “But if I step up, then I take the command of the Silverwood household and I have to be the one to take on everything that the families are working toward.” Aurelia said back to Cassie.

                Cassie nodded her head, “Figure this out Aurelia.”

                Aurelia looked back at Boone, “Boone we have to find Jordana or I will be dead by 8:06.”

                Boone nodded his head as he went back up the steps leaving Aurelia alone on the steps with a knot in her stomach.

Austin, Texas

                Jared rolled out of bed that next morning as his phone kept going off. “Dude, what are you doing calling me?”

                “Jared, have you heard from Jordana?”

                “Boone, man, I saw her the other night but she left. I mean she was here but she is gone now. What is going on?”

                “Jordana has like 12 hours to get back here or Aurelia takes her and Aurelia will take the blame for everything. It will be Aurelia’s life on the line if Jordana doesn’t show up.”

                Jared glanced up as Genevieve was walking out of the bathroom, “I will call her Boone but there won't be any promises about getting her to answer.”

                “Jared, Aurelia will be dead by the morning if Jordana doesn’t get back here.”

                “Boone, I told you that I will help you find her!” Jared shouted back into the phone.
