28. Burnt and Destroyed

      Jared stepped out of the car as he saw the moving van sitting out front of his house.

                Stephen glanced back at him, “Are you moving?”

                Jared shut the car door, “No, we aren't.”             

                Stephen nodded his head as he went with Jared into the house.

                Genevieve stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Jared walking into the house, “What are you doing here?”

                “It’s my house Genevieve, what is going on?” Jared looked back at her.

                “I'm signing the papers. I'm leaving Vancouver and taking the boys with me back to my parents place in the states.” she said back to him.

                Stephen looked back at Jared, “I'm gonna wait outside.”

                Jared looked back at Stephen then back at Genevieve, “Why are you leaving and finally signing the papers? What got into you?”

                “There is nothing here for me and us, there is no us. I mean Jared look at this. You barely come around and the boys need something different in their lives and honestly so do I.”

                “What about my unborn child?” Jared glared back at her.

                “Easy, it’s not yours.” Genevieve said back to him.

                “You bitch, you lied to me?”

                “I wanted us to work. I wanted us to stay together but Jared; I can't do that when you are sleeping around on me. I can't do it.”

                Jared laughed back at her, “You get a taste of your fucking medicine and you run acting like you are smart for being the one to leave. I have been waiting to leave for years!”

                “So what are you saying?”

                “I'm saying that it has been too long with us fighting. I'm so over this bullshit Genevieve.”

                “So what about Shep, what was he?”

                “I love my son, don’t turn this on him!”

                Genevieve shook her head, “Get out of here Jared.”

                Jared looked at her as her bottom lip was starting to shake, “Genevieve, listen to me.”

                “No, leave Jared, get away from me!”

                Jared backed away from her as she screamed at him again.

                “You never loved me; you never showed me the respect that I needed. You did it all for the show. I can't believe I fell for it.”

                “I loved you.”

                “NO Jared, you don’t get to fight now. You had the chance and now you have nothing!”

                 Jared stumbled over something when he saw it was their wedding photo.

                Genevieve shook her head, “Take it, I will only burn it.”
