"What were you doing with that girl?" Keigo snarled. I was confused, not understanding what he meant, until I remembered that Toga didn't look like herself.

"Oh, that was a friend of mine. What's it to ya?" I asked, smirking at him. I was able to quickly tell his current state. He was a bit shorter than me, looking even smaller since his legs were slightly spread.

He didn't answer, instead staring into my eyes, studying them. I gave him a smirk, gently lifting my leg up between his. I barley touched him before he immediately jumped away, starting to cough his lungs out again.

"What the fuck?" His eyes narrowed, as if trying to stab through me with them. A chuckle ripped from my throat without my meaning to.

"What? You weren't letting me go. What happened to the peace from the other day?" I smirked, looking him over. He was still tense, despite currently coughing out petals. "Besides, I wasn't trying to hurt ya anyways. You're overreacting."

He didn't like that. Not one bit.

"Ah, got it." I said, snapping my fingers and pointing at him, the back of my thumb sat against my temple. "Did I hurt your pride Birdie? Is that it?"

"I told you to not call me that." He growled. The petals had stopped, leaving him slightly out of breath. This'll be fun.

"And why is that?"

"None of your business."

"Come on Birdie, just-" I was caught off by Keigo diving at me, holding me back to the wall. Instead of his hands boxing me in, they were wrapped around my neck loosely with his thumbs pushing down lightly.

"Shut up." His eyes were wide open, boring into mine. I hadn't ever thought that I would feel even a bit scared of him. How could I ever be scared of the boy who couldn't climb down from a tree? I never thought he would ever want to hurt me.

Those eyes. They terrified me right now.

Of course, I wasn't going to show it.

"Kinky." I choked out. He rolled his eyes, releasing his hold.

"You're disgusting."

"I know."

Keigo huffed, turning away from me and started to walk away. Man, his wings didn't look so great. The usually bright red feathers were now a darkened color. Only a few of them looked fine and normal.

"Aw, where are you going?" I asked, pushing myself off the wall and following him.

"Don't really know, away from here." His wings fidgeted awkwardly as he continued to walk. He was walking away, away from me, and, shit.

"Wait." I called out to him. He turned to me with a single eyebrow raised. "Do you, maybe want to hang out, or something?"

He suddenly stopped walking and his head snapped forward, avoiding my eye contact. I heard him clear his throat and saw one of those damn petals fall to the ground.

"Why?" He grumbled, stomping on the petal and dragging his foot backward. The blueish white petal ripped under his boot, leaving bits on the concrete.

"Well, neither of us are working, so why not? You're fun to mess with too." Say yes.

"I'm just a hero, and you're just a villain." He said simply, turning his head to look over at me. "I shouldn'tve let my guard down around around you last time."

And there he went, walking down the alleyway.

"You're just a villain."

Sure, I haven't told him who I am, but I don't want him to hate me. I can't have him know either. He'll either hate me and use it against me or will do something stupid resulting in something horrible happening.

But I still didn't want him to go, even if that was what was best.

"Is," I started, thinking over everything before I said it. "Is that all you see?" Hawks turned back to me, his golden eyes shining back at me in the setting sun.

"Well." He cut himself off, closing his mouth and bitting his bottom lip hard.

"Well? Is it?" I urged, not moving from my spot. "Am I just some monster that has no reason or motive for what I do?" Again, Hawks didn't say anything, just glared at a spot on the street.

"Come on now, answer me Bir- Hawks. It's a yes or no question, not that hard to answer." I started to walk closer to him, slowly so I didn't come off as threatening. As he still didn't answer, I could feel anger bubble in my stomach.

"Not really. It's just easier to do my job in that mindset. It's just how I was raised." Finally, his gold eyes met mine as he finished his statement. "I don't know anything about you, so I don't know what I'm supposed to see you as."

Oh, you know much more than you know.

Much much more.

"Then, come on. We can go to my place. You won't be a hero and I won't be a villain." He grimaced, breaking away from my gaze once more as he stared at the ground.

"Fine. But if you try to pull anything, I won't hesitate." I didn't ask about what exactly he would do. Last time he tried to fight me, I was able to restrain him, what exactly was he going to be able to do?

"Great. Then come on." I said, grabbing onto his shoulder and turning him the right way. "It's only a few minutes that way. Not too far, but far enough to where no one can hear you scream." He immediately looked over to me with stern eyes. It wasn't normal seeing his eyes filled with anything other than happiness for me.

"It's called a joke. I'm not gonna do anything."

"A joke, sure."

The first 111 words were going to be a part of the last chapter, but then the chapter would be too long.

Sorry for the cliffhanger last chapter by the way.
