*Dabi's POV*

The entire way there, he was extremely timid. He hasn't said a word, and I was starting to think he wasn't going to talk to me at all.

"So, why do you really want to hang out?" He whispered, eyes wide and locking on any object that moved.

"Honestly, I don't know."

"So how do I know your aren't going to kill me?"

"You won't, but if I wanted to kill you I would've done it earlier. I had a clear shot." It was the truth. The thought of killing him then and there was obvious. I couldn't ignore it. It would've been so easy too. He was helpless. He couldn't move, Toga had him still. Just one flame, and we wouldn't be here now.

"But what if you missed and hit your friend instead?" He asked, looking right into my eyes. He couldn't keep eye contact for long, however, as he started to cough again. This time, there weren't a lot of petals.

"Oh trust me." I said, smirking at him. "I never miss." Hawks stared down at the floor, thinking.

"So then why didn't you?" I didn't answer, instead looking forward to see how close we were to the storage house. I could see it at this point.

"Hey look, were almost there." Hawks looked up to see the house before looking back down.

"Alright." He muttered. He didn't say another thing while we got inside. When we finally did get inside, I closed the door and turned back around to Hawks.

"You didn't answer my question." That's cause I don't want to.

"Oh yeah, why didn't I kill you? Well, you see," I broke off before coming up with an idea. "Did you want me to kill you?"

He didn't answer. I felt this horrible feeling in my stomach when he didn't.

"Well Birdie? Care to answer the question?"

"Don't call me that."

"Right, whatever. Answer the question."

He sighed, his wings and shoulders sagging as he looked back to me. He looked, broken. I hadn't ever seen him look like that except once. Even earlier when he was attacking me with everything he had because he believed I had done something to Touya, he didn't look like that. Even then, he still looked hopeful.

"Well I mean, it would speed the process up a lot."

"So you wanted me to kill you?"

"No, I don't want to die, but I don't want to have to live with these stupid flowers for the rest of my life." He chuckled, but it was just dry laughter. What happened to my happy birdie?

"So then, why don't you just tell them or get the flowers removed or some shit? It can't be that hard."

"Look, I really don't want to talk about this right now." He said, shifting his wings so that they weren't dragging on the ground.

"Alright then, suit yourself." I headed to this box in the corner and started to dig into it. Pulling out some shit, I finally found what I was looking for.

"Why did you want to hang out anyway?" Hawks asked, eyeing the bottle in my hand. I shrugged, sitting on my mattress in the corner and patting the spot beside me.

"I just get a little lonely out here myself." I said, starting to open the bottle of whiskey. I struggled a bit, but was able to get the top off soon enough. When I did, I brought the bottle to my lips and gulped down some. Pulling the bottle away, I held it out for Hawks, shaking it side to side. "Want some?"

He glanced from me, to the bottle, then back to me. He sighed, grabbing the bottle from me and muttering a "Fuck it," before pouring some into his mouth. I saw his face get bright red as he gaged, yet still swallowed the alcohol in his mouth.

"What was that?" I asked, erupting in laughter as he shot me a quick glare and handing me back the bottle.

"'ve never drank anything like that before." He said, letting go of the bottle and laughing as I barley caught it.

"Asshole." I growled, holding the bottle to my chest. I took another sip, loving the burning feeling of the liquor going down my throat.

*Hawks's POV*

It's been, who even knows how long at this point?

All I know is that I can't handle whatever the fuck was in that bottle well.

It took way to much attention to focus on anything, so I just focused on Dabi. I would say something and he would laugh, so it was pretty easy to keep my attention on him.

"Okay, okay, but like, if I was to die, I tell myself I would want it to be while doing something heroic or some shit, but really I just want to die in my sleep. I would never know that I died." I ranted. The entire time, I waved my arms around to explain. Dabi's cheeks above his scars were slightly red.

"Okay pigeon, whatever you say." He said, drinking more from the bottle. My vision was getting weird, and it felt like I was controlling a puppet more then my own body.

"But I mean it, cause like-"

"Wait, no, shut up." Dabi said, his face slowly getting redder. "Have you ever thought about the fact that someone somewhere might be getting off to the image of your own face and you would never know?" That caused me to laugh.

"Ha, fucking always. It gets that way when you're a pro hero. I don't like to think about it too much." I admitted, streching out before falling over. I felt the mattress hit my side but refused to get back up, instead just bursting out into laughter.

"Fuckin useless bird." Was all I heard before I felt Dabi push me down onto the mattress more. Before I even knew what was going on, he was suddenly tickling me.

I was kicking and flailing, trying to get him off of me as he kept attacking me. I was laughing, he was laughing, but I think this was only fun for one of us.

"Ha- stop! Stop it! Da- Dabi stop it!" I screwed my eyes shut as my mouth was wide open with laughter. However, as soon as I felt something near my lips, I bit down instinctively.

"Shit!" Dabi yelped, shifting on my lap as I opened my eyes. He was holding his hand to him, glancing up and down from me to his hand.

"Aww, did I bite ya? Lemme see." I said, sitting up slightly but falling back down almost immediately after. I started to laugh again while holding my arms out to my side.

Dabi was staring at me. His turquoise eyes bore into mine, studying me. He always looked so familiar, but why?

Shit, he said something.

"Huh? Whadya say?" He leaned down so his hands were holding him up, one on either side of my head.

"I said, you look so cute laid out like that." I chuckled in response before shaking my head no. He nodded leaning closer to me. "Yes."

"No."

"Yes." He said, closing the gap between us. I melted immediately into it, wrapping my arms around him before pulling him closer. I, I liked it.

I felt his hands trail up my shirt and trace my muscles and abs until he started to slide it off. As soon as it was removed, he pushed himself back into the kiss.

Why did this feel so right?

So, that happened.
