*Eight Year Old Keigo's POV*

"Hey Touya! Touya wait up!" I called to Touya as he started to walk to the park. I wanted to show him something. He turned back to me and I froze.

He was hurt. He had bandages on his face like the first time I had saw him, but he looked worse. I could also see bandages on his arms, but those were always there.

"What happened?" I said as I stopped running a few feet from him. He didn't look directly at me, Instead looking a bit off to the side.

"I burned myself. It's not that bad."

"But it looks bad! You have so many bandages on you!"

"I let my sister help me. She went a bit too overboard." He went to scratch the back of his neck as he spoke with a small smile. "Don't worry Birdie, it's not bad. I promise."

"You promise?"

"I promise." He stopped walking when I did. I stuck my pinky finger out towards him.

"What are you doing?" He questioned, tilting his head in confusion.

"Pinky promise. You can't break a pinky promise." He still didn't react, so I grabbed his hand and made him mirror me. "See, we link our pinkies and then we can't break that promise."

He didn't move at all when I wrapped my pinky around his.

"This is stupid."

"Is not!"

"Yeah, it is." He sighed, shaking his head. "But fine, I pinky promise."

We started to continue to the park, still empty. It barley had anyone there anymore. As we got closer, I remembered what I wanted to show him.

"Hey."

"Hmm?"

"Can I show you something?"

"Sure, go ahead." I smiled, running ahead of him a bit and to the tree. When I got to the bottom, I flapped my wings and got one of the leaves from the bottom branches.

"See this?" He nodded and I gave the leaf to him. I then turned around and closed my eyes. "Throw it."

"Um, okay?" I opened my wings wide and waited for my feathers to pick up the movement, immediately sending a single feather at it when it was in the air.

Turning around, I saw the feather fall to the ground with the leaf gliding down beside it. It was cut in half on the grass.

I smiled back at Touya who was staring at the leaf on the floor.

"Nice job Birdie." I felt a wave of happiness wash over me as my smile got wider. I started to run to him, almost knocking him over as I hugged him.

"It's cool, right?" I asked, looking up at him from his chest. He chuckled, running his hand through my hair.

"Really cool."

"What about yours?"

"What about mine?"

"Can I see your quirk? I know what it is, but you've never showed me. Can I see it?" Touya didn't seem to like that idea. Finally, he sighed and nodded.

"Fine. Here." He passed me the book he had been holding. "Hold this."

"Okay."

"Now, hold it out so I can burn it."

"What?" I squawked, snapping my eyes up to his. "But, the book."

"It's stupid anyway. Hold it out."

"B-but. What if you m-miss?" He said his fire was really really hot. What if he hit me instead?

"Oh trust me." He said, holding his hand out. "I never miss."

I thought about it. He said he wouldn't hit me, so he wouldn't. I trusted him more than anyone else anyway.

"Okay." I said, holding the book away from me shakily. "I trust you." I could hear my heart in my ears as I watched Touya aim.

A small blast of blue fire flew at me. It was really pretty, but really really hot. I tried to not move as it hit the book, but dropped it immediately after.

"The book's on fire!" I yelped, jumping away from it and taking off. "Touya the book's on fire!"

Touya however, didn't say anything back. Instead, he was on fire, his blue flames dancing on him. I hadn't seen him like this before.

"Touya! Are you okay?" I asked. He didn't respond, instead he screamed. It sounded horrible, and I couldn't do anything. I flew up above the trees and looked around, trying to find someone who could help.

Scanning the road at the bottom of the hill, I saw someone. It was a lady with white hair. She looked really pretty.

"Stay here, I'll get some help!" I called down to him before diving to the street.

The lady didn't seem completely there but snapped out of her stare once I landed. She had gray eyes and white hair, her hair kinda like Touya's.

"I need help!" I said, standing infront of her. I was starting to cry. Touya was hurt now, and it was my fault. If I didn't ask him to show me, he wouldn't be hurting.

"What's going on?" The lady asked, kneeling down beside me. She placed a hand on my shoulder.

"My, my friend, he. He hurt, himself. I can't, I don't know how to help him!" I cried, pulling away from the lady and grabbing her wrist. "Come on!

The lady stood back up and followed me back up the hill. When we got to the park, she gasped and pulled away from me heading to Touya.

"Hey, hey Touya it's okay. Look at me baby, okay?" She knew him? Touya opened his eyes to look at the lady and his flames started to lessen. The woman slowly held her hand out to him before touching his hand.

In just a few seconds, the fire was out completely.

"Touya! Are you okay?" I asked behind the lady. He didn't answer, but looked over at me. He looked, scared. I didn't like it.

"Don't tell Dad." He whispered, looking over to the lady. "Please don't tell Dad." He was crying again. I slowly walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him.

He immediately pulled me closer to him and hid his face into my neck. He continued to cry, and it was extremely worrying. I've never seen him cry.

I never wanted to see him cry.
