This is gonna be fun :)

*Hawks's POV*

I closed the balcony door and opened my wings, quickly getting off the floor. I didn't have my entire suit on, but I did have my jacket, goggles and headphones. If there's an emergency, the right clothing isn't completely nessesarry.

That call was not what I was expecting from Endeavor at eight o'clock in the morning, but I needed to be ready anyway.

As soon as I took off, my back stung a bit, but I would he fine. It didn't hurt too bad.

As I flew in the sky, the call I had picked up just a few minutes after the front door had been shut went through my head. My phone had lit up and went off on my table.

Breathing in the cold air helped to calm the pain that had been sitting in my chest for so long. As I got up higher, I started to get faster. Scanning the city streets with my eyes, I saw people run away in distress. How had I not hear this before?

Stopping the movement of my wings, I continued to glide towards where the scene of the problem was.

"Nomus,"

"League of Villains might be involved,"

"Hospital,"

"People trapped,"

"Hawks, they need your help."

They need my help.

There! That's the building. That's the Nomu.

I immediately dove down, picking up speed as I got closer to the ground. Just a few yards from the ground, I straightened myself so that I landed gracefully infront of a group of heros and police.

Endeavor, Best Jeanist, and Edgeshot were easy to point out. However, not a lot of rescue specialized heros. I made my way to the chief of police as quickly as possible.

"What's going on?"

"Another Nomu attack. This one's, bigger. Not the biggest one we've seen, but it seems stronger. Luckily, most of the hospital has been cleared. Endeavor and Edgeshot are doing there best against it and Jeanist is working on keeping people away from the wreckage, but a piece of the building came down."

Yep, I can see that. The building was coming down, trapping people who were underneath. No one was helping with them
No one here had the ability or did but was caught up with with other problems.

"Got it."

I spread my wings again, launching myself into the air and speeding off towards the falling building. Perching on top of a piece of the wall still intact, I scanned over the area and sending feathers to help look.

I continued to leap from place to place, using my wings to keep me above the wreckage.

Wait, there. My feathers picked something up.

I dove down towards the area that the vibrations came from. There were people down here.

"Hey, are you in there?" I called out, landing onto the ground. I heard a muffled cry from underneath the rubble. Using my feathers to make sure the wreckage wouldn't come crumbling down, I used my arms and hands to pull away the concrete.

More and more feathers were needed to stabilize the concrete above. However, I was getting closer. I could hear a voice, a woman's voice, crying out for help.

"Hey, hey, it's all going to be alright, okay? I promise I will get you out of here." I pulled away another chunk and revealed a more hallow area. The woman there didn't look extremely hurt, but I needed to check. She was obviously a nurse.

"Are you hurt? Can you walk? Is there anyone else under there?" She shook her head, but other than that the woman didn't stop crying. Instead, she trying to climb out of the hole. I reached inside to try and help her out. When I got her out, I could see her leg.

It was most definitely broken, but that wasn't why the woman was crying. This wasn't the sounds a person would make just because they are hurt. No, this was something else.

The woman clung onto my shirt as I picked her up. Turning around, I saw people start to bring others to the ambulance. The woman was crying hard, trying to choke something out.

One police officer came to me to take the woman, but she wouldn't let go, instead this time trying her best to speak.

"I fell from the top floor, used my quirk to save myself. There's a girl up therw, she can't protect herself. Please, please help her!" She sobbed, finally letting go of me. She kept muttering about the girl while I looked up.

"Take her away. Be careful with her leg." I didn't wait for an answer before launching myself up into the air. I didn't bring my feathers back to me as I continued higher and higher. If I felt more people down there, I would need to save them as soon as possible.

I could see into the hospital as I got higher until I was at the top. Fair enough, a huge chunk of the wall had fallen, including the floor.

There was a girl, probably only about five or six. She was hiding in the corner, looking almost perfectly fine other than the bandages on her neck. When she saw me, she uncurled slightly and her eyes lit up.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, landing on the floor a few feet away from her. She nodded, tears streaming down her face.

"Is Ms Miyu okay?" Despite the attack, this girl was still more concerned about the nurse than what was going on outside.

"Don't worry, she is just a little hurt." I crouched down to the girl's level and opened my arms. "You're both going to be okay. Just come over here and I'll bring you down."

The girl cringed away from me, pressing herself against the wall. She started to cry more.

"I'm scared."

"Hey, I promise it's all going to be okay. I won't let anyone hurt you." Slowly, the girl pushed away from the wall and jumped into my arms. I wrapped my arms around her as she held herself up as well.

That's when the wall broke in.

I could see the ceiling start to give out, so I immediately dashed out to keep the girl away. I used my legs to keep myself from running straight into the next building over. The girl clung to me, shaking.

I flew away from the building to get the girl to the ground. It was getting harder to fly because of the feathers still searching for people.

I glanced over at the hospital, my eyes widening at the sight. The Nomu wasn't as visible when I had first gotten here. Whatever that thing was had grown. It's arm swung over at me, and I wasn't fast enough.

My wings reflexively wrapped around me and the girl as I slammed into the side of a building. The air was forced from my lungs as the girl hit my chest. My head had got quite a blow, but I wasn't completely out of it.

My wings flapped uselessly in the wind as I fell. I couldn't focus on any of the noises going on as I pulled the girl closer to my chest. It didn't matter how bad I got hurt, as long as this girl stayed safe.

I turned my head slightly to the side to look down, seeing the ground quickly coming up to meet me, but it was as if everything was going in slow motion.

I couldn't turn around completely to fly, I would still fall and be putting the girl in more danger. However, if I try to slow my fall while upside down, it wouldn't be enough to help with the force of the hit.

However, maybe if I could get a bit of traction...

I flapped my wings hard to send myself against the wall again. Again, the pain shot across my back as I continued to force my body against the wall. It slowed us down enough that by the time I hit the ground, I was on my feet for a few seconds before falling to my side.

I still had the girl in my arms before my vision slowly started to black out.
