Chapter 53; The March To The End

*Touya's POV*

It felt weird walking side by side with Endeavor again. He still towered over me just as much as when I had ran. I still don't feel safe with him, nor do I trust him. Just because he's trying to help get Aika back doesn't mean I need to open back up to him like I was when I was four.

I could still see Keigo up above. His wings barely stood out against the darkening sky, but I could see him. I knew that they were mostly following me, but I could get to the base blindfolded. I wanted to see him, I wanted him to be with me, but he was safer up there.

I felt something touch my shoulder and immediately jumped, igniting a small flame on my palm. I turned to see that Endeavor had been the one to touch me. I immediately cringed away from his touch right as the flame on my palm flickered out without my permission.

I turned to see that one of the UA teachers were behind me. The one with the long black hair and the scarf. His eyes had flashed red just as soon as my flame had went out. I knew about him. His quirk was the ability to take away the quirks of others.

That's why he was here, to keep an eye on me.

Everyone seemed to be on edge. Hands out, crossed, all of them at the ready. All because I had gotten startled.

I don't want to be here. There are too many heros down here, and the only one I liked was high up in the sky.

I swallowed the words that we're about to leave my mouth. Last thing I wanted was for someone to actively try to restrain me because of some stupid shit I say.

As we got closer, I could feel the atmosphere suddenly get more tense. Of course everyone was on edge. For all they knew, I was leading them to a middle of an ambush. I felt a small gust of wind that suddenly disappeared, leaving Keigo in it's place beside me.

"Hey Birdie. Came down for a chat?" I muttered, glancing over at him. He looked serious, which made a lot of sense. At least he believed that I wasn't trying to kill him. At least, I think so.

"Please be careful." He said, staring forward. His wings were sagged slightly, the tips of them brushing against the road. He rolled his shoulders back, stretching out slightly. "If you die, I'm going to kill you." I chuckled.

He wasn't able to stay on the ground for long though. He eventually took back off into the air, right before we could see the bar. Aika was there, right now. The entire league was ready, ready to attack.

Just because of a little girl.

I know that's not the only reason the heros are here. They want to capture the league. I told Toga that too, that she might get caught as well. She doesn't care. Who knows, maybe I'll be right there beside her. I have no doubt that as soon as it's all over, someone's going to turn on me.

But when it does, I won't put up a fight.

Welp, here goes nothing.
